학문 목적 한국어 학습자의 발표 전략 사용 양상 연구

국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 학문 목적 한국어 학습자의 발표 전략 사용 양상을 살펴보고, 이를 통해 한국어 발표 교육에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 방법: 중·고급 한국어 학습자 53명을 대상으로 발표 전략 사용에 대한 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 설문 문항은 Morita(2000)와 Reinhart(2002)의 연구에서 활용된 측정 도구들을 수정해 사용하였으며, SPSS for Windows 23.0을 통해 통계 분석하였다. 결과: 자료 활용 전략을 가장 적극적으로 사용하고 있었으며, 청중 배려 전략은 가장 낮은 평균값을 나타냈다. 또한 비언어적 전략을 제외한 발표 전략들은 학습자의 수준에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 한국어 교육 기간과 발표 수행 정도는 부적 상관관계를 나타냈고, 한국어 숙달도는 비언어적 전략을 제외한 나머지 발표 전략들과, 또 각각의 발표 전략들 사이에서도 정적 상관관계를 확인할 수 있었다. 회귀분석 결과 구조적 전략이 한국어 숙달도에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤고, 구조적 전략과 비언어적 전략은 청중 배려 전략에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 발표 전략은 학문 목적 한국어 학습자의 성공적인 학업 수행을 위해 교수해야 할 중요한 요소이다. 따라서 발표의 진행 단계에 맞춰 활용할 수 있는 전략들을 체계적으로 교육해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the use of presentation strategies by Korean learners for academic purposes and to provide basic data necessary for Korean presentation education. Methods: In order to accomplish this research purpose, a non-face-to-face survey was conducted on 53 intermediate and advanced level Korean learners. The questionnaire was developed based on the previous research of Morita (2000) and Reinhart (2002) and the data was analyzed using the program SPSS 23.0. Results: The data utilization strategy was the most actively used, and the audience consideration strategy showed the lowest mean value. In addition, presentation strategies excluding non-verbal strategies differed significantly according to the learner’s level. The duration of Korean language education and the degree of performing the presentation were negatively correlated and Korean proficiency had a positive correlation with the rest of the presentation strategies except for non-verbal strategies. In addition, a positive correlation was confirmed between each presentation strategy. As a result of regression analysis, it was found that structural strategies had a significant effect on Korean proficiency, and structural and non-verbal strategies had an effect on audience consideration strategies. Conclusion: The presentation strategy is an important factor to be taught for the successful academic performance of Korean learners for academic purposes. Therefore, it is necessary to systematically educate learners about strategies that can be used according to the presentation stage.
