독서의 정의적 영역 진단 도구 개발 과정에 대한 비판적 검토

국문 초록

본 연구는 국내 연구에서 독서의 정의적 영역 진단 도구를 개발해 온 절차는 비판적으로 검토하고자 한다. 최근 10년간 발표된 연구 중 정의적 영역의 진단 도구 개발에 초점을 둔 연구를 대상으로 삼아 15개 도구 개발에 대한 20편의 연구를 표집하고, 각 연구에서 문항 생성, 내용 타당도 검증, 예비 검사, 본 검사 및 타당도와 신뢰도 검증 절차가 어떻게 드러났는지 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 모든 연구에서 문헌 검토가 이루어졌지만, 실제 참여자를 대상으로 한 포커스그룹 인터뷰 또는 인지적 인터뷰 과정까지 이루어진 연구는 드물었다. 한편, 도구를 타당화하는 과정 측면에서 대부분의 연구들이 구인 타당도 및 신뢰도 검증을 시도하였다. 그러나 완성된 도구의 구인을 확정한 경우는 9건에 그쳤고, 시행한 구인 타당도 검증 방법에 대한 설명도 충분하지 않은 경우가 많았다. 신뢰도의 경우 대부분의 연구가 도구의 신뢰도를 보고하고 있으나 개발된 최종 도구의 전체 및 요인별 신뢰도를 보고한 경우는 드물었다. 진단 도구가 진단 대상 및 사회·문화적 맥락에 적합하게 활용될 수 있도록, 개발 과정에 대한 학계의 더 많은 관심이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The goal of this review was to critically examine development procedures of scales measuring affective aspects of reading. A total of 18 studies developing 15 different scales were identified through a systemic search of literature published within recent 10 years. Each scale was coded by focusing on the following procedural aspects: 1) item generation 2) content validity checking, 3) pilot testing, and 4) main testing and validation process. The major findings of this study are as follow. First of all, all reviewed scales were developed based on literature review, but only a few studies implemented cognitive interviews for individual and/or group participants. With regard to the validation process, all except two studies provided some sort of evidence on construct validity and reliability of the scales. However, only nine studies provided confirmative factor analysis results of the final scales. Some studies employing exploratory or confirmative factor analysis provided insufficient information on their analysis methods. In case of reliability, all except two studies reported reliability coefficients, but only seven studies reported the reliability coefficients of the full scales and sub-scales of the final tools. Findings suggest the need for more interests and research on the development procedures of affective reading scales in order to properly reflect characteristics of subjects and their surrounding social and cultural contexts.
