성인 발달장애인의 직업생활 경험 탐구 -지적장애인을 중심으로-

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 성인 지적장애인의 직업생활 경험을 밝힘으로써 지적장애인의 취업 문제를 개선하는 데 이바지하는 것이다. 연구 방법은 취업 중인 성인 지적장애인 7명을 대상으로 하여 질적연구의 현상학적 연구 방법으로 심층 면담을 각각 2시간씩 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 연구참여자들은 직장생활을 통해 “노력하는 직업인”으로서 “특별한 가족 사랑”을 가지고 있었고, “평범하지 않은 직업생활” 속에서도 “당당한 사회인으로서의 꿈”을 꾸고 있었다. 연구참여자들은 어렵게 취업한 일자리를 지키면서 인정받는 직업인이 되기 위해 자기관리를 하며 노력하고 있었다. 또한 가족의 지원을 받는 것을 넘어 가족을 지원하는 역할에 만족감을 느끼고 있었다. 직업생활의 다양한 어려움에 불안감을 가지고 있음에도 불구하고 직업생활을 통해 자아실현과 사회인으로서의 꿈을 이루고 싶어 했다. 따라서 지적장애인이 일하면서 행복하게 자립생활과 경제생활을 할 수 있도록 맞춤식 교육프로그램 개발과 4대 보험이 지원될 다양한 직종 개발을 통한 고용 안정성의 필요성을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to contribute to improving the employment problem of the adult intellectually disabled by revealing the professional life experiences of the intellectually disabled. The research method was analyzed by conducting in-depth interviews for 2 hours each as a phenomenological research method of qualitative research for 7 intellectually disabled people in employment. As a result of the study, the Study participants had “special family love” as “professionals who work hard” through their work life, and had “dreams as proud members of society” even in “unusual professional lives.” Participants in the study were striving to keep hard-employed jobs and to become recognized professionals. In addition, They were satisfied with the role of supporting the family beyond receiving family support. Although They had anxiety about various difficulties in their professional life, They wanted to achieve self-realization and fulfill their dream as a social worker through their professional life. Therefore, it was suggested that customized educational programs and the need for employment stability and development of various occupations to be supported by four major insurances so that people with intellectual disabilities can live independently and economically happily while working.
