과학 커뮤니케이션 및 인터랙티브 전시 방법 차원에 의한 경상북도교육청과학원 소재 전시물 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 과학 커뮤니케이션 및 인터랙티브 전시 방법 차원에서 교육청산하 과학 전시관 중 하나인 경상북도교육청과학원의 전시물을 분석하였다. 특히 연구대상인 경상북도교육청과학원은 평소 과학 관련 대회 주요 개최 장소로 많은 초등학생이 방문하는 데, 이를 고려하여 초등과학 교육과정과의 연계성을 중심으로 알아보았다. 분석 도구는 과학 커뮤니케이션 차원을 1세대부터 3세대로 구분한 것과 인터랙티브 전시 방법 차원에서 인터랙션, 몰입도, 프리젠테이션 크기를 기준으로 분류한것을 활용하였다. 연구결과 과학 커뮤니케이션 차원에서 2세대에 해당하는 전시물이가장 많았으며 1세대에 해당하는 전시물은 상대적으로 적었다. 하지만 대중의 참여정도가 가장 높으며 능동적인 소통의 의미를 가지는 3세대에 해당하는 전시물은 하나도 없어 이에 대한 보완이 필요해 보였다. 인터랙티브 전시 방법 차원에서는 인터랙션과 몰입도가 가장 낮은 LL유형이 가장 많았으며, 자연스러운 인터랙션과 높은 몰입도를 가지는 NH유형은 그 수가 많지 않았다. 또한 프리젠테이션 크기도 중형에 해당하는 것이 대다수여서 다양한 크기의 전시물로 확장하는 것이 필요해 보였다. 본 연구를통해 교육청 차원의 과학 전시관에 대한 꾸준한 관리와 전시물 개선에 대한 시사점을얻을 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the exhibits at the Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education Science Institute, one of the Science Museums under the Office of Education on the dimensions of the science communication and interactive exhibition method. Especially, the research subject, the Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education Science Institute, is a major venue for science-related competitions, and many elementary school students visit there at ordinary times, and this study was conducted centering around connectivity to the elementary science curriculum, considering this. As for the analysis tool, this study employed the tool that classified the dimension of science communication into the 1st generation through the 3rd generation and the tool that classified the sizes of interaction, commitment, and presentation on the dimension of the interactive exhibition method. As a result of the study, on the dimension of science communication, most were exhibits that came under the 2nd generation while there were relatively fewer ones that came under the 1st generation. However, the level of public participation was the highest, and no exhibit came under the 3rd generation, which had the meaning of active communication, which would need supplementation. On the dimension of the interactive exhibition method, most were the LL type with the lowest interaction and commitment, and there were few of the NH type with natural interaction and high commitment. In addition, since most presentations are medium-sized, it would be necessary to expand them into exhibits in various sizes. This study could obtain implications for steady management and improvement of exhibits for the science exhibition hall on the level of the Office of Education.
