국립공원의 특성이 지불의사액에 미치는 영향 분석 : 메타분석을 활용하여

국문 초록

국립공원은 국가를 대표하는 명승지로, 다양한 자원들이 포함되어있는 생태·문화 관광지로 볼수 있다. 국립공원의 효율적 관리를 위해서는 국립공원이 제공하는 경제적 가치를 파악하고, 이를 기초로 정책 방향을 수립할 필요가 있다. 이러한 관점에서 국립공원과 같은 자연자산에 대한가치를 분석한 다양한 연구가 시도되어왔다. 특히 대부분의 연구가 조건부 가치측정법을 통해수행되어왔다. 이에 본 연구는 각각의 국립공원에 대하여 개별적으로 수행된 조건부 가치측정법적용 연구사례들에 대하여 메타분석을 수행하여 국립공원의 가치를 보다 종합적으로 검토하고자하였다. 다만 특성 중 방문객 수는 지불의사액과 동시적 관계로 인해 내생성을 가질 수 있다. 이러한 내생성을 고려하기 위해 각각의 국립공원 지정년도와 설문년도를 도구변수로 활용하여 분석을 진행하였다. 분석 결과, 국립공원의 특성인 방문객 수와 산악형 국립공원, 보물과 국보의수는 지불의사액을 증가시키나, 천연기념물의 수는 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 추후 가치측정 연구 및 정책 수립에 기초자료로 활용 가능하다.

영문 초록

National parks are scenic spots representing the country and can be viewed as ecological and cultural tourist destinations that contain various resources. For efficient management of national parks, it is necessary to identify the economic value provided by national parks and establish policy directions based on the economic value. From this point, various studies have been attempted to analyze the value of natural assets such as national parks. In particular, most of the research has been conducted through the contingent valuation method. Therefore, this study tried to review the value of national parks more comprehensively by performing meta-analysis on the case studies of conditional valuation method applied for each national park. However, among their characteristics, the number of visitors may have endogeneity due to the simultaneous relationship with the amount of willingness to pay. In order to consider this endogeneity, the analysis was conducted using each national park designation year and survey year as instrument variables. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the number of visitors, mountain-type national parks, artifacts and national treasures, which are characteristics of national parks, increase the willingness to pay, and the number of natural monuments does not affect it. The results of this study can be used as basic data for future value measurement research and policy establishment.
