뮤지컬공연의 성공 요인 탐색 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 장기적인 펜데믹 상황으로 인한 한국 뮤지컬공연 시장의 변화와 그에 따른 성공 요인을 분석하였다. 공연예술 분야 중 하나인 뮤지컬공연에서 현장 공연은 빠질 수 없는 요소이며, 위드코로나 시대에 대면 공연을 이어나가기 위한 적절한 조화가 이루어져야 한다. 그러나 비대면 시대의 대면 공연의 개선방안에 대한 연구들이 이루어지지 않았다. 이를 위해 현재 진행되고 있는 뮤지컬공연의 개선방안과 기존 문헌조사를 필두로 델파이기법을 통한 뮤지컬공연의 현장 실무자들의 의견 수렴과 문화정책 자료 등을 바탕으로 요인들을 도출하였다. 그 결과 인력 양성 및 연구를 위한 정부의 지원, 플랫폼 개발 및 제작을 위한 시스템 및 기술 향상, 작품의 퀄리티와 전문성을 위한 작품 및 콘텐츠 개발, 시대에 흐름에 맞는 홍보를 위한 채널의 다양화, 배우 캐스팅의 퀄리티 향상, 방역에 따른 근로환경 개선, 불법 유통의 최소화와 배우 및 스텝 보호를 위한 작품의 저작권 확보가 중요한 요인으로 도출되었다. 본 연구에서 확인된 요인들을 통해 실무적 공연 제작에 활용될 수 있고 이를 적용한 대면 공연의 활성화를 기대할 수 있다. 또한 추후 유사한 상황 발생 시 더 빠른 대처 방안 모색과 동시에 관객들에게 다양한 방법으로 안전하게 공연을 관람할 수 있는 방안을 간구할 수 있다는 실무적 의의를 가진다. 이를 통해 현장 공연의 일시적인 대처방안이 아닌 미래지향적인 유통방식의 변화를 가져다줄 것을 기대한다.

영문 초록

In this study, main goal was exploring how long-term pandemic effects on success factors and transition in the Korean Musical Industry. One of most important and indispensable element in musical performance is sensing present impression. To enjoying live performances continuously during pandemic era, we must find appropriate harmony. However, there are studies for success factors on specific performance and non-face-to-face works so this study will help to glance on finding ways to improve face-to-face performances in the pandemic era. Starting with ongoing improvement plan on musical industry and existing literature research, success factors were derived based on the opinions from hands-on workers and cultural policy data through Delphi technique. As a result, improving the system and technology for manpower training and research, improving the system and technology for platform development and production, developing works and contents for the quality and expertise of works, improving the quality of actor casting, improving the working environment through quarantine, and securing copyrights are success factors for musical performances in pandemic era. The identified factors from this study, it can be used in practical side of production which can be apply to invigorating face-to-face performances. Also, it has practical significance that can apply for quicker preparation plans when similar situations occur in the future and more various ways can be apply to audiences for their safety while watching the performance. These factors are not temporary plan for live performances, expected to bring positive changes in future-oriented distribution methods.
