국문 초록

본 연구는 다매체 설치미술과 퍼포먼스가 결합된 다원예술이 어떻게 연구자의 주제를 드러내는 고유한 형식이 되었는지 설명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 연구는 설치미술이 여러 장르의 매체와 융합되면서 내러티브와 퍼포머 그리고 특정 장소를 필요로 하는 동시대 다원예술로 확장된다는 점에 초점을 둔다. 이를 위해 동시대 설치미술의 다매체적 경향, 다원예술의 배경과 설치미술 속 퍼포먼스 공연 작품을 연구하였다. II 장은 동시대 미술에서 나타나는 탈장르적 경향을 짚어보고, 그러한 맥락에서 설치미술과 퍼포먼스가 결합된 공연으로 확장되는 연구자의 작업이 갖는 특수성을 설명하고자 한다. 미술에서 퍼포먼스가 수행 공간인 무대를 벗어나 일상 공간이나 전시 공간으로 장소를 이동한 예를 살펴보고 관람자의 감각 경험으로 환기되는 설치미술 공연 작품을 중심으로 다룬다. Ⅲ 장에서는 2019년 베니스비엔날레 출품작 <태양과 바다>의 공연 형식과 공감대를 형성하는 매체를 중점적으로 살펴보고 2021년 연구자의 프로토타입 전시 <기억공간_몸 소리 문>의 퍼포먼스가 다원예술로 확장 발전되어 가는 과정을 연구하였다. 본 연구는 경험의 공간을 구축하는 설치미술이 공연과 융합되어 장소 기억을 소환하고, 퍼포먼스가 내러티브를 직접적으로 전달하는 근거를 살펴보면서 연구자의 작품에 대한 이해와 다양한 해석의 가능성을 모색하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explain how convergence art, which combines multi-media installation art with performance, has become a unique form of revealing the researcher's subject. The research focuses on the fact that installation art convergent with multiple genres of mediums, extending to narratives, performers, and contemporary interdisciplinary art that requires a specific place. To this end, I studied the multi-media tendencies of contemporary installation art, the background of interdisciplinary art, and the performance works in installation art. Chapter II examines the deconstruction of the genre that appears in contemporary art, and in that context, it attempts to explain the specificity of the researcher's work that expands to a performance that combine. In art, I look at examples of moving from the stage where performance is a performance space to an everyday space or exhibition space, and focus on performance works in installation art that are evoked by the sensory experience of the spectator. Chapter III focuses on the media that resonates with the performance format of the 2019 Venice Biennale Entry and explores the process by which the performance of the 2021 Researcher Prototype Exhibition extends to multidisciplinary arts. This study seeks to explore the possibility of understanding the researcher's work and various interpretations by examining the basis on which the installation art that builds the space of experience fuses with the performance to summon the memory of the place, and the basis on which the performance directly conveys the narrative.
