국문 초록

본고는 현대시에 나타나는 전자기술공간을 사회학적 공간성의 관점에서 연구하는 것이다. 전자기술공간은 자본주의의와 관련성 속에서 생산되는 사회적 생산물이다. 자본주의 관점에서 공간 이론을 펼치고 있는 데이비드 하비의 논리는 시적 공간을 고찰하는 데에 있어 적합한 이론이다. 시에 나타나는 전자기술공간의 사회공간성 양상을 통해서 자본주의가 사회 내 어떤 내적 요소와 상호작용하면서 공간을 창출하고, 사회적 실존성을 만드는지를 알아보고, 그 의미를 찾을 것이다. 시에 나타나는 전자기술공간의 사회공간성 양상은 다음 세 가지로 정리할 수 있다. 첫째는 전자적 파놉티콘 공간으로, 경험적 실존공간이 전자감시기술로 공간적 조정이 되면서 감시와 통제를 하는 사회적 권력 공간으로 전환되는 양상이다. 이것은 자본주의 논리의 생산성이나 효율성에 의한 감시체계가 공간적 실존에도 적용되고 있으며 우리의 신체적 정신적 실존성마저 자본주의 논리로 작동되고 있음을 보여주고 있는 측면이다. 둘째는 상품으로서의 공간으로, 자본가에 의해 장악되는 의사소통매체가 소비자의 신체적 정신적 욕구를 어떻게 활용하면서 생산기반으로 삼는지를 보여주는 공간적 실천의 양상이다. 이것은 상품으로서의 공간은 소비자나 시청자들에게 소비를 종용하는 자본주의에 종속되는 부정적인 실존성을 형성하고 있음을 보여주는 측면이다. 셋째는 시공간적 유토피아로, 인간 활동에 따른 경제적 문화적 시공간이 유동적인 변화를 가지면서 차이나 차이의 거리화를 만드는 공간적 실천의 양상이다. 이것은 시공간적 유토피아가 가상공간이지만 현실공간의 문제들을 전복하면서 자율적인 주체성을 형성하는 실존적 세계임을 보여주는 측면이다. 이러한 사회공간성 양상은 전자기술공간이 자본주의 논리 속에서 현대인의 세계를 구성하고, 사회적 실존성을 만든다는 것을 보여준다. 사회공간성을 통해 시인들은 비가시적인 권력의 주체인 자본가가 우리의 신체적 정신적 실존을 이익 창출을 위한 생산 기반이나 수단으로 삼는 것에 대해서는 부정적이지만 다양한 형태의 가상공간이 자본주의의 부정성을 복원하는 자율적인 주체로 발전하고 있다는 점은 긍정적으로 본다. 자본주의 논리의 사회공간성이 현재의 세계와 실존적인 특징을 드러내는 중요한 시적 공간이라는 것을 말해준다.

영문 초록

This paper is a study on electronic spaces that appear in modern poetry from the perspective of sociological extensity. Electronic space is the social product manufactured amidst the relationship with capitalism. The logic of David Harvey, who is developing a spatial theory from the perspective of capitalism, is a suitable theory for examining the poetic space. This paper will investigate how space is created through the interaction of capitalism with which internal elements in a society through the social spatial mode of electronic space that appears in poems, examine how it creates social facticality, while searching for its meaning. The mode of social extensity of electronic space found in poems can be divided into the three categories as follows. First is the electronic panopticon space, and it is the mode of empirical existent space that becomes spatially adjusted to convert to a space of social power for monitoring and control. The second is space as a product, and it is the form of spatial practice that shows how physical and mental desires of consumers are utilized by communication media dominated by capital to be used as the base of production. Third is time-space utopia, and it is a mode of spatial practice for economic and culture time and space according to human activities to create differences or spaces in differences while having flexible changes. Such social extensity mode shows that electronic space composes the world of modern people in capitalism logic and that it creates social extensity. This demonstrates that capitalism logic recomposes social space, and that this recomposes not only social structure and order, but also our actual existential mode. Poets are skeptical that capitalists, which are the invisible body of authority, uses as our physical and mental being as the production base or tool for creating profits through social extensity, but the fact that various types of virtual spaces are developing into autonomous entities for restoring the negativity of capitalism appears to be a positive factor. This states that the social extensity of capitalism logic is an important poetic space that reveals the actual features of today’s world. It is meaningful in that this can be confirmed through poems.
