국문 초록

17세기에는 많은 선승들이 소상팔경시를 지었다. 그중에서 동계경일(東溪敬一)과월파태율(月波兌律)의 소상팔경시는 기존의 불교계 소상팔경과는 다른 독특한 작품이다. 선승들과의 관계 속에서 지은 작품이기보다 문인들과의 교유에서 그들의 소상팔경이 창작되었기 때문이다. 동계경일의 <次西湖八景韻>은 당시에 유행하던 서호팔경과 고려말부터 전승된소상팔경의 세계를 혼합하여 작품을 창작했다. 서호팔경에 차운하면서도 작품의 편제명은 소상팔경의 여덟 풍경으로 구성하여 그것의 풍경을 다루고 있기 때문이다. <遠浦歸帆>·<瀟湘夜雨>·<洞庭秋月>·<江天暮雪>에서는 전고와 용사를 활용하여시를 형상화하는 기법을 보여주는데, 풍경을 바라보는 시적화자의 심상에 초점을 두었다. 그리고 <煙寺暮鍾>·<平沙落雁>·<漁村落照>·<山市晴嵐>에선 기존의 관습대로 소상팔경의 풍경을 보여주었다. 각각의 풍경마다 등장하는 자연물이나 다양한소재들은 자연의 한 부분으로, 풍경미를 자아내는 요소였다. 월파태율의 <次瀟湘八景韻>은 고려 때의 문인 이인로의 <宋迪八景圖>와 같은운자를 사용하였고, <瀟湘夜雨>를 <竹祠夜雨>로 한다든지, <煙寺暮鍾>을 <山寺 暮鍾>으로 하는 특징이 있다. <竹祠夜雨>·<遠浦歸帆>·<江天暮雪>·<漁村落照> 에서는 기존의 소상팔경 모티프를 그대로 수용하여 전개하는 모습을 보였다. 하지만월파태율의 작품은 동계경일과는 달리, 고사를 차용하지 않으면서 함축적으로 시상을 전개하는 방식을 활용했다. 그리고 <洞庭秋月>·<山寺暮鍾>·<平沙落雁>·<山 市晴嵐>에선 기존 문인들의 소살팔경과 유사한 심상을 보이지만 모티프를 변형시켜색다른 풍경을 자아냈다. 기본이 되는 중심 모티프는 유지하되, 작품에 드러난 묘사적 수법을 부분적으로 각색한 것이다. 소상팔경 풍경을 유지하면서 기발한 상상력이감도는 작품들을 창작하였다.

영문 초록

In the 17th century, many Zen monks composed sets of eight scenic poems. Among them, the Eight Scenic Views of Donggye-gyeongil and Wolpa-taeyul are unique works unlike other sets of eight scenic views of the Buddhist community. Their eight scenic works, shaped by communication with lay writers, did not project Buddhist colors into their works. Rather, even though it was composed by a Zen monk, it shows similarities to the eight scenic views of lay writers. However, from the perspective of the Xiao and Xiang Rivers Eight Scenic Views literature, the work can be said to be independently embodied, because he shaped his unique poetic world while accommodating the Eight Scenic Views of the xiao and xiang rivers. Donggye-il’s <次西湖八景韻> mixes the Eight Scenic Views of Seoho, a form popular at the time, with the world of Eight Scenic Views handed down from the end of Goryeo. The eight works comprise eight landscapes organized like the Eight Scenic Views of the xiao and xiang rivers, and their content is similar. <遠浦歸 帆>·<瀟湘夜雨>·<洞庭秋月>·<江天暮雪> show a technique of shaping poetry on ancient and brave warriors, focusing on the mind of a poetic painter looking at the landscape. Moreover, <煙寺暮鍾>·<平沙落雁>·<漁村落照>·<山市晴嵐> show the scenery of the Eight Scenic Views in accordance with the current custom rather than changing the content of the work. Natural objects and various materials appear in each landscape, but they are a part of nature and are elements that evoke landscape beauty. Such elements are gathered to paint the harmonious landscape of nature itself. Wolpa-taeyul’s <次瀟湘八景韻> uses the same rhymes as Lee In-ro’s <宋迪八景圖> during the Goryeo Dynasty, and features as or as . In <竹祠夜雨>·<遠浦歸帆>·<江天暮雪>· <漁村落照>, the existing Eight Scenic Views Motifs are accepted and developed. However, unlike the Donggye-gyeongil, Wolpa Tae-yul’s work uses a method of implicitly developing the image of poem without utilizing a old story. Furthermore, <洞庭秋月>·<山寺暮鍾>·<平沙落雁>·<山市晴嵐> show similar images to the eight scenes of the existing writers, but the motif is transformed to create a different landscape without, however, changing the central motif itself of the Eight Scenic Views of the xiao and xiang rivers even though the descriptive technique revealed in the work is partially adapted. This approach created works displaying ingenious imagination while maintaining the scenery of the Eight Scenic Views of the xiao and xiang rivers.
