국문 초록

본 연구에서는 디지털 콘텐츠 불법 다운로드와 불법 업로드 행위 설명을 위해 계획행동이론을 적용한다. 더 나아가 계획행동이론을 보완한 확장된 계획행동이론을 위해 기존의 변수 태도, 주관적 규범(명령적 규범), 지각된 행동통제 이외에 자아, 기술적 규범, 유용성을 추가한 모델을 불법 다운로드와 불법 업로드 행위에 적용하고 비교해 본다. 서울시 대학생 317명을 대상으로 조사한 데이터 분석결과 기존의 계획행동이론의 변수들로 태도, 주관적 규범, 지각된 행동통제는 불법 다운로드와 불법 업로드 행동의도 모두에서 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으나, 확장된 계획행동이론을 적용했을 때는 두 유형의 차이가 있었다. 불법 다운로드 행동의도에는 자아, 기술적 규범, 지각된 행동통제, 유용성의 영향이 유의미했지만, 불법 업로드 행동의도에는 태도, 자아, 명령적 규범, 지각된 행동통제가 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 결과를 통해 디지털 콘텐츠에 대한 불법 다운로드와 불법 업로드의 설명에 있어서 차이를 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study seeks to compare the explanatory factors of intention in illegal downloading and illegal uploading of digital contents. This study intends to test a theory of planned behavior and considers the effects of attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on both behavioral intention. We also suggests an extended theory of planned behavior that supplements the theory of planned behavior, including self, descriptive norms, and perceived usefulness. A survey was conducted 317 college students in Seoul, Korea. The analysis found that when explanatory factors of the theory of planned behavior were composed as independent variables, all three variables have significant influence on the intention in illegal downloading and illegal uploading. However, when explanatory factors of the extended theory of planned behavior were composed as independent variables, it could be found the difference between illegal downloading and illegal uploading. It is shown that self, descriptive norms, perceived behavioral control, and usefulness were significant explanatory factors of intention of illegal downloading, while attitude, self, injunctive norms, and perceived behavioral control were important explanatory factors of intention of illegal uploading. This results confirmed the need to distinguish illegal downloading and illegal uploading of digital contents.
