국문 초록

4차산업혁명의 도래로 인하여 급변하는 사회환경 속에서 대한민국 경찰은 이러한 시대흐름에 맞는 새로운 혁신이 필요한 시점이다. 또한 미래의 불확실성에 대처하기 위한 인적자원의 역량강화에 관심을 모을 필요가 있다. 하지만 이러한 인적자원의 역량강화는 매우 어려운 문제이다. 이미 채용되어 일선에서 근무중인 경찰공무원의 자질을 향상시키는 것은 한계가 있으며, 물리적인 경찰공무원의 수를 늘리는 것도 국가의 규모 및 경제 상황등을 종합해 볼 때 이 역시 한계가 있음을 알 수 있다. 하지만 제한된 인적자원을 더욱 더 효과적으로 사용하기 위해서는 조직내의 의사소통이 매우 중요하다. 이 연구는 경찰공무원의 의사소통에 근무환경이 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 이 연구에서 설정한 가설을 검증하기 위해 수집된 자료에 대하여 빈도 분석 및 상관관계 분석, 마지막으로 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 경찰공무원의 의사소통에 근무환경이 미치는 영향력을 검증한 결과, 근무환경이 좋을수록, 계급이 높을수록, 연령이 높을수록, 남성일수록 의사소통에 정(+)적 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 특히 근무환경의 변수가 가장 높은 설명력을 보이고 있으며, 학력은 의사소통에 아무런 영향을 미치지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 연구결과를 토대로 하여 경찰공무원의 근무환경이 개선되어야 하며 성별·연령·계급 등의 개별적 특성을 고려한 교육훈련 및 경찰조직의 활발한 의사소통 채널이 개발되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

In the rapidly changing social environment due to the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, it is time for the Korean National Police Agency to innovate according to this trend of the times. In addition, it is necessary to draw attention to strengthening the capacity of human resources to cope with future uncertainties. However, strengthening the capacity of such human resources is a very difficult problem. There is a limit to improving the quality of police officials who have already been hired and are working at the front line, and increasing the number of police officials is also limited when considering the size and economic situation of the country. However, it can be seen that communication within these organizations is very important to use limited human resources more effectively. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of the working environment on the communication of police officials. Specifically, this study conducted frequency analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis to verify the hypothesis established on the collected data. As a result of verifying the effects of working environment on communication of police officials, it was found that the better the working environment, the higher the rank, the older the age, and the more the male officials effect positively on communication. In particular, it was found that the working environment showed the highest explanatory power, and the educational background had no effect on communication. Based on the research results, the working environment of police officials should be improved. In addition, it is expected that education, training and active communication channels of police organizations will be developed in consideration of individual characteristics such as gender, age, and rank.
