국문 초록

본 연구는 한일관계에서 영토교육이 어떠한 현재적 의미를 가지고 있는지를 조명하는 것이다. 논쟁의 초점은 한국과 일본의 영토교육 현황을 검토하고, 특히 경상북도와 시마네 현의 독도교육 사례를 비교 분석하여 그 실태를 정확하게 파악하는 것이다. 경상북도의 독도교육은 체계적이고 지속적이며, 의식고취에 중점을 두고, 시공간을 초월해서 진행되고 있는 반면, 시네마현의 독도교육은 공격적이고 치밀하며, 생활사에 초점을 맞추고, 중-장기 적인 영토 반환전략 등을 통해 자국 중심으로 진행하고 있다. 한일 양국이 영유권 문제와 연관된 독도교육을 자국 중심의 관점에서 실시하다 보면, 양국 국민의 인식 차이는 더욱 벌어져 그 격차를 좁혀 나가기 매우 힘들 것이다. 이는 동북아시아 국가 간의 배타적이고 독점적인 주권을 강조하는 현재의 국가 체제가 수평적이고 다층적인 지역공동체 교육으로 전환되고 있는 시점에서 자국 중심의 독도교육이 과연 바람직한 것인가에 대한 원론적인 고민에 빠지게 한다. 특히 본 연구에서는 동북아시아의 올바른 역사적 인식과 지역공동체적 시민의식이 갖는 보편성을 기반으로 한 영토교육의 이론화 작업을 통해 독도교육의 방향성 을 제시하고자 한다. 이는 독도문제에서 배타적 민족주의 접근 방식을 채택했던 기존의 영토교육을 냉정하게 분석하고, 동북아지역 차원의 지역공동체적 시민주의 관점에서 미래 지향적인 한일관계에 대한 성찰을 바탕으로 바람직한 독도교육에 대한 해법을 모색하려는 시도이다.

영문 초록

This study illuminates the current meaning of territorial education in the Korea-Japan relations. The focus of the debate examines the current situation of territory education in Korea and Japan. Especially the cases of Dokdo education between Gyeongsangbuk-do and Shimane prefecture will be compared and analyzed and it also is to grasp the situation accurately. Dokdo education of Gyeongsangbuk-do, gone through time and space, is systematic, sustained and focused on raising awareness. While Dokdo education of Shimane prefecture, focused on life history, is aggressive and meticulous, and it is going on in one s own country through a mid-to long-term territory return strategy. If territorial issues associated with Dokdo education of Korea and Japan is conducted in a national-centered context, the gap between the people of the two countries will widen and be very difficult to narrow the gap. Moreover, these fall into a serious dilemma whether it is desirable to do Dokdo education in one s own country in transition from current state sanctions that emphasize exclusive and exclusive sovereignty in Northeast Asia to horizontal and multi-level in community education. In particular. this paper provides the direction of Dokdo education by working on the theory of territory education based on the correct historical perception of Northeast Asia and the universality of regional community citizenship. Doing so, the existing territorial education adopted an exclusive national approach in Dokdo issues will be analyzed. From the point of view of regional community timely democracy at the level of Northeast Asia, this paper is trying to seek a solution about a desirable Dokdo education
