해운대의 추억

국문 초록

이 논문은 해운대를 소재로 창작된 한시들을 통해 그 속에 형상화된 해운대의 모습을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 필자의 분석에 따르면 해운대를 노래한 한시는 첫째, 최치원에 대한 기억을 노래한 것. 둘째, 전통적으로 신선의 고장이라고 알려진 神仙鄕의 면모를 노래한 것. 셋째, 가슴에 쌓인 답답함을 말끔히 씻어줄 광활한 경관을 노래한 것의 세 가지 유형으로 나눌 수 있었다. 최치원에 대한 기억을 노래한 시들은 황폐한 해운대의 석각을 안타까워 하거나 최치원이 성취한 높은 경지를 동경하거나 최치원이 해운대를 명소로 만들었다는 등의 내용을 갖고 있었다. 神仙鄕의 면모를 노래한 시들은 동백섬을 仙界의 봉래도로 생각하기도 했고 해운대를 바로 ‘仙臺’라 부르기 도 했으며 몇몇 시인들은 선계를 동경하는 작품을 남기기도 했다. 광활한 경관을 노래한 시들은 민담이나 신화를 배제하고 눈앞에 보이는 넓은 바다를 묘사하며 바다만큼 넓은 마음을 가질 것을 말하거나 자신의 가슴에 맺힌 답답함을 해운대의 광활함으로 씻어내고자 하는 뜻을 표현했다. 한시작품 속에서 최치원･神仙鄕･광활함 등을 소재로 노래되던 해운대는 이광수의 시조작품에서 주제적 맥락이 그대로 이어지고 있었다. 하지만 2010년 이후 지어진 현대시조에서는 그 주제가 인간의 고뇌･경쟁하듯 높아지는 고층 아파트･떠난 사람에 대한 그리움 등으로 나뉘는 경향을 보였다. 대중가요에 있어서는 해운대를 노래하고 있는 11곡 모두 ‘사랑’을 주제로 삼고 있음을 볼 수 있었다. 현대시조 6편 중에서 고층 아파트로 대변되는 자본주의의 현실을 경계했던 작품이 2편이나 있었던 것과 비교한다면 현재 대중가요의 주제는 너무 획일적으로 보인다.

영문 초록

This thesis aims to analyze the aspects of Haeundae depicted in Hansi-the Korean poetry written in Chinese characters-created with Haeundae as the subject matter. According to my analysis it could be divided into three types. the first, Depicting the memories of Choi Chi-won. Second is a description of a Sinseonhyang神仙鄕-Taoist village, traditionally known as a Taoist hermit village with miraculous powers. Third, it depicts a vast landscape that will cleanse the frustration accumulated in the heart. Poems expressing Choi Chi-won s memories were saddened by the destroyed stone carving of Haeundae, admired the achievements of Choi Chi-won, and described that Choi Chi-won made Haeundae famous. Poems describing the aspect of Sinseonhyang considered Dongbaek Island as Bongnae Island of the immortal world, Haeundae was called ‘Seondae仙臺’, and some poets left works admiring the immortal world. Poems depicting expansive landscapes portray the wide sea in front of their eyes, excluding stories and myths, and say that we should have a mind as wide as the sea, or express an intention to wash away the frustrations in our hearts with the vastness of Haeundae. Classical Korean poems based on Haeundae portrayed Chi-won Choi, Taoist village, and spaciousness, and this trend continued in Lee Kwang-soo s sijo-traditional three-verse Korean poem. However, in the modern sijo created after 2010, the theme tends to be divided into human suffering, high-rise apartments rising like competition, and longing for those who have left. In popular songs, it could be seen that all 11 songs of Haeundae were singing ‘love’. Compared to two of the six modern sijos that were wary of the reality of capitalism represented by high-rise apartments, the current theme of popular songs seems too uniform.
