국문 초록

이 논문은 우리의 서원 속에 나타난 『周易･蒙卦』의 이미지를 연구한 논문이다. ｢蒙卦｣는 산과 물을 형상해서 만든 괘로 황하문명의 교육에 대한 담론으로서 최초라는 점에서 그 역사적 의의가 있다. ｢蒙卦｣가 주는 자연미와 미학적이고 문학적인 상상력은 후대 교육에 많은 영향을 주었다. 한국의 서원은 터를 잡을 때부터 ｢蒙卦｣를 의식하여 수려한 자연미를 발견하여 산과 샘을 바탕으로 지었고, 서원의 학칙인 원규를 만들면서도 ｢蒙卦｣의 내용에서 교훈이 될 만한 것을 찾았으며, 서원의 상량문이나 기문을 서술하거나 서원의 공간을 꾸밀 때도 그 기초를 ｢蒙卦｣에서 찾았다. 한국의 서원에는 문사철의 자연미에서 발견한 산과 샘과 강이 어우러져 더욱 엄숙하고 한적한 아름다운 풍광을 자아낸다. 한국의 서원에는 ｢蒙卦｣ 교육적인 위상을 표방하면서도 그 속을 꼼꼼히 들여다보면 문학적이고 미학적인 요소들이 오묘하고 다양하게 함의되어 있어서 그 아름다운 위상이 더욱 영롱하게 빛나고 있다. 이것은 한국의 서원 속에 나타나는 ｢蒙卦｣의 다양한 이미지를 분석하여 한국 서원의 위대하고 아름답고 심오하기까지 한 교육적 위상을 제고한 논문이다.

영문 초록

This paper studied The Image of “『The Zu-eok(周易)』｢Monggwae (蒙卦)｣” in Korean Seowon(書院). ｢Monggwae(蒙卦)｣ is a historical significance in that it is the first discourse on the education of the Yellow River civilization, which is made in the shape of mountains and water. The natural beauty and aesthetic and literary imagination given by ｢Monggwae (蒙卦)｣ had a great influence on future education. Korea s Seowon discovered beautiful natural beauty and built it based on mountains and springs. While making the rules of Seowon, it found something to be a lesson in the contents of the Seowon. It also found the basis of prayer for building Seowon or writing words praising the scenery. The Korean Seowon combines mountains, springs and rivers found in the natural beauty of literature, history, and philosophy, creating a more solemn and quiet beautiful landscape. Korea s Seowon stands for its educational status, but if you look closely inside, the literary and aesthetic elements are mysterious and diverse, making its beautiful status more brilliant. This is a paper that analyzes the various images of Monggwae in the Korean Confucian Academy to enhance the educational status of the Korean Confucian Academy, which is great, beautiful, and profound.
