난독 교정 훈련 프로그램 참여자의 경험 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 난독 교정 훈련의 전반적인 과정 및 참여자의 경험을 분석하고, 기존 읽기 부진 지도 방안을 난독 교정 훈련과 비교 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 난독 교정훈련 자체의 개선점을 찾고 난독/읽기 부진 경계성 학생들을 위해 일선 학교 현장에서 활용할 수 있는 보완책을 마련하고자 하였다. 참여자의 경험을 분석하기 위해Gläser(2012)의 전문가 인터뷰를 활용하였으며 그 중에서도 단서 제공 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 인터뷰 결과는 원인 차원, 훈련 차원, 효과 차원, 훈련의 한계의 네 차원에서 분석되었고 하위 항목들은 귀납적으로 도출되었다. 자료들을 종합적으로 분석한결과 다음과 같은 시사점을 도출할 수 있었다. 첫째, 난독/읽기 부진 경계성 학생들에게 훈련 전체의 의의와 각 하위 훈련 간의 관계 및 의의를 충분히 이해시킬 필요가 있다. 둘째, 난독 교정 훈련과 일선 학교 독서 지도의 협업 체계를 구성할 필요가 있다. 난독/읽기 부진 경계성 학생들에게 난독 교정 훈련은 단어 수준의 언어 이해 차원에서 도움을 줄 수 있고 일선 학교 독서 지도는 문장 수준의 언어 이해 차원에서 도움을줄 수 있으므로 서로 상호보완적이기 때문이다. 셋째, 교사가 지도를 해도 읽기 능력이 향상되지 않는 난독/읽기 부진 경계성 학생들에게 다양한 감각적 체험을 할 수 있도록 지도할 필요가 있다. 다양한 감각적 체험이 읽기에 작용하는 신경 회로 형성과강화에 도움을 주기 때문이다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the overall process of a dyslexia training program and the participants’ experiences, and compared existing reading guidance methods with the program. Based on this analysis, we discovered benefits in the dyslexia training program and supplementary measures that could be used in front-line school sites for students with dyslexia or reading difficulties. Expert interviews based on Gläser(2012) were used to analyze participants’ experience. The results from the interviews were analyzed in terms of four levels: the cause dimension, training dimension, effect dimension, and training limit. we discussed the following implications. First, it is necessary to fully understand the significance of the overall training and each sub-training and the relationship between each sub-training for students with dyslexia or reading difficulties. Second, it is essential to form a cooperative system between the dyslexia training program and front-line school reading education. Third, it is crucial to guide students who do not improve their reading ability, even with assistance from the teacher, to have various sensory experiences, as these can help them to form and strengthen the neural circuits that are involved in reading.
