국문 초록

이 연구는 뉴스를 활용한 미디어 글쓰기(카드 뉴스, 앵커브리핑 원고 쓰기, 독자 투고글쓰기)를 중심으로 미디어 리터러시 교육 방안을 모색하는 데 목적을 두었다. 구체적으로 각각의 미디어 글쓰기 모형을 구체화하여 <뉴스 리터러시와 미디어 글쓰기> 강좌의 후반부에 진행한 후, 그 사례를 분석해 보면서 가능성과 효과를 타진해 보았다. 그 결과 카드 뉴스는 텍스트와 이미지 독해 능력, 그리고 이를 활용하여 자신의 생각이나 정보를 간결하고 명확하게 전달하는 능력을 기르는 데 도움이 되었다. 아울러뉴스 매체의 특성을 이해하고 뉴스를 비판적으로 소비·생산하면서 사회적 상호작용을 확장하는 데 효과적이었다. 앵커브리핑 원고 쓰기는 시의성 있는 사안을 다각적으로 판단하는 과정을 통해 비판적이고 논리적인 사고력을 견인하고, 이를 표현하는 데있어 적절한 비유를 접목하면서 감정지능을 활성화하였다. 예술적 감수성과 비판적사고의 결합은 독자들의 이해를 돕고, 나아가 공감에 이르게 하는 데도 기여했다. 비판적인 사고력을 중심으로 이루어지는 독자 투고 글쓰기는 뉴스를 자료로 활용하는법과 적절한 언어를 사용하여 자신의 생각을 논리적으로 표현하는 능력을 향상하는데 도움이 되었다.

영문 초록

This study explored a media literacy education method with a focus on media writing (card news, writing and presentation of anchor briefings, and reader contribution writing) using the news as material. Specifically, each media writing model was embodied and proceeded in the second half of the News Literacy and Media Writing class. Then, cases were analyzed to explore the possibilities and effects. As a result, “card news” helped to develop the ability to read texts and images and to use them to concisely and clearly convey thoughts and information. This method was also effective in understanding the characteristics of the news media and expanding social interaction while critically consuming and producing news. The writing and presentation of the manuscript for the anchor briefing promoted critical and logical thinking through the process of judging various timely issues, and it activated emotional intelligence through grafting appropriate metaphors to express. The combination of artistic sensibility and critical thinking has helped readers understand and further empathize. It helped me to improve my ability to logically express my thoughts by using appropriate language as well as using news as material for reader contribution writing, based on critical thinking skills.
