국문 초록

이 글의 목적은 질적 연구를 통한 초임교사의 성장과 발달 과정을 내부자의 관점에서 이야기하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 자문화기술지 연구방법에 기초하여 질적 자료를 수집하였고, 실용적 절충주의에 기초한 주제 분석을 통해 범주와 하위 범주를 생성하였다. 연구결과를 간략하게 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사연구자인 나는 초임교사와 질적 연구자 사이에서의 유사성을 발견하고, 정체성과 역할을 결합함으로써 교육적 삶을 개선할 수 있었다. 둘째, 교사연구자인 나는 사회적 실천가로서 정체성을 구성하고, 행위를 함으로써 사회적 삶을 개선할 수 있었다. 이 글은 질적 연구와 초임교사의 성장 및 발달 과정을 연결함으로써 질적 연구 기반의 교사 전문성 발달을 이해하는 데 기여할 수 있을 것이다. 또한, 이 글은 한 초임교사의 질적 연구 수행을 통해 교사교육에서 질적 연구의 교육적 및 방법적 가능성을 실현하는 데 기여할 것이다.

영문 초록

The aim of this paper is to discuss about the process of growth and development of a novice teacher through qualitative research from an insider’s viewpoint. This paper applied autoethnography as a method of reflective ethnography to accomplish this purpose, and main themes and categories were drawn from the pragmatic eclecticism-based qualitative data analysis. The results and conclusions are as follows. Firstly, I as a teacher-researcher was able to improve the educational life by discovering the similarity between the novice teacher and the qualitative researcher, and combining identity and role of the novice teacher and the qualitative researcher. Secondly, I, as a teacher-researcher was able to improve the social life by constructing identity and action as a social practitioner. This paper will be able to contribute to understanding the development of teacher expertise by connecting performance of qualitative research and the process of teachers’ growth and development. In addition, this paper will contribute to realizing the methodological possibility of qualitative research in teacher education by representing and understanding a novice school teachers ‘-’ qualitative research performance.
