백두산의 시가문학적 형상화

국문 초록

예부터 백두산은 우리 민족의 성산으로 숭앙되어 왔다. 백두산 시가로는 9수의 백두산 시조와 1편의 기행가사 <백두산근행기>가 전해지고 있다. 백두산 시조는 내용 면에서 두 가지 양상을 보인다. 우선, 호기 표출 시조이다. 김종서의 <長白山에 旗를 ᄭᅩᆺ고∼>와 남이의 <長劒을 ᄲᅡ혀 들고∼>는 조선 건국 초기에 창작된 시조들로서 각기 국토 확장의 의지와 국태민안의 바람을 표출하였다. 강응환의 <昌城感古歌>는 중국에 빼앗긴 요동의 옛 땅을 회복코자 하는 의지를 드러낸다. 무명씨의 <白頭山 발노 박ᄎᆞ∼>는 영토 확장과 농업 경영을 주제로 하고 있다. 무명씨의 <白頭山을 올나 가셔∼>는 우리나라가 문명과 자유의 나라라는 것이며, 민족적 자존심을 드러낸다. 초장과 중장에 남이의 <북정가>를 수용하여 국토수호의 의지를 계승하고 종장에 작가 나름의 생각을 더한 세 작품도 있다. 이들 작품 가운데. 한 작품의 종장은 남이의 <북정가>를 독자/청자에게 알리고자 하는 의도에서 마련한 내용으로 보인다. 나머지 두 작품의 종장에서는 화자의 중의성 측면에서 작품의 묘미를 느낄 수 있다. 두 번째로는 연군 시조이다. <白頭山 놉히 안져∼>는 좋은 집이 만들어지기까지 함께 노력했던 죽은 임을 그리워하고 있다. <白頭山 놉흔 봉은∼>은 영원성을 노래하고 있다. 특히, 신하로서 임금에게 영원한 충성을 다짐하고 있는 것으로 파악된다. <백두산근행기>는 작가 고단이 1995년 9월, 나이 74세 가을에 백두산을 구경하고 지은 기행가사 작품이다. 작품은 총 89행의 분량으로 이루어져 있는데, 가사의 율조를 구분하기 어려울 만큼, 사실적인 내용으로 산문화가 진행된 모습을 보인다. 작품은 3대단 7소단으로 구성되어 있다. ‘1) 서사: 북경 도착, 이화원 구경, 2) 본사1: 연길시 구경, 3) 본사2: 천지 가는 길, 4) 본사3: 백두산 천지, 애국애족적 상념, 5) 본사4: 하산과 용정시 구경, 6) 본사5: 청산리 전투 소개와 유공자 추모, 7) 결사: 남북평화 기원’이 그것이다. 두운과 각운의 활용을 통한 율동미 구현이나 시각을 활용한 이미지 형상화가 주목되며, 각종 수사법이 단독 혹은 복합적으로 사용되어 표현미를 제고하고 있다. 수사법 가운데에서는 의태법의 활용이 인상적이다. 기원의 문체로 작품이 마무리된다. 백두산 시가의 현대적 의미는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문화지리학적 접근을 통해 변경시조, 변경문학의 체계적 서술에 기여할 것이다. 둘째, 이른바 ‘백두산 문학’의 총체적 접근에 기여할 것이다. 셋째, 역사의식 함양 및 민족문학 혹은 통일문학의 교육 자료로써 활용 가능할 것으로 본다. 특히, <백두산근행기>의 경우, 여성가사 혹은 기행가사의 범위를 확대, 그문학사의 확장적 서술에 기여하고, 또 고단의 7편 기행가사의 종합적 연구에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 본다.

영문 초록

Mt. Baekdu has been revered as a sacred mountain of Korean people since ancient times. Classic poetry of Mt. Baekdu was written at the time of visiting from the place of appointment, or during excursion (Baekdusan Sijo), or tour (). Baekdusan Sijo show two aspects in terms of content. First, there is Sijo that dealt with gallant spirit. Kim Jong-seo s and Nami’s were filled with manly spirit. Kang Eung-hwan s is a representative border poem. It reveals his will to restore the old land of Yodong, which was taken away by China. Unknown poet’s has territorial expansion and agricultural management as its theme. Another unknown poet’s reveals that our country is a country of civilization and freedom, as well as national pride. There are also three works that inherited the will to protect the country by accepting Nami s in the first and second chapters and added the poet s own thoughts to the closing chapter. The second is Yeongun Sijo. is a work of longing for the dead lover who worked together until a good house was built. sings eternal loyalty. is a travel lyrics written by Godan in September 1995, when he visited Mt. Baekdu at the age of 74 years old. The work consists of 89 lines, and it is difficult to distinguish the rhythms of the lyrics, showing the progress towards prose. The work consists of three large and seven small parts. 1) Preamble: Arrival in Beijing, Ihwawon Tour, 2) Body 1: Touring Yeongil, 3) Body 2: Road to Cheonji, 4) Body 3: Cheonji of Baekdusan Mountain, Thoughts of Patriotism, 5) Body: Viewing Hassan and Yongjeong City, 6) Body 5: Introduction to the Battle of Cheongsan-ri and Remembrance of the Deceased, 7) Closing: Wishing for Inter-Korean Peace. In terms of expression, rhythmic beauty through the use of alliteration and rhyme or representation of images by using visualization draws attention, and the use of mimesis is impressive among rhetoric techniques. The modern meaning of the classic poetry of Mt. Baekdu is as follows. First, through cultural geography approach, it can contribute to the systematic description of border Sijo and border literature. Second, it can contribute to the overall approach of the so-called Baekdusan literature. Third, I believe that it can be used as educational material for the cultivation of historical consciousness and national literature or unification literature. In particular, in the case of , I believe that it can contribute to the extended description of the literary history by expanding the scope of the female or travel lyrics and to the comprehensive study of the seven line travel lyrics of Godan.
