국문 초록

젊은이의 감소로 대변되는 한국교회의 쇠락이 복음의 능력을 상실한데서 기인한다면 교회의 회복은 복음에 달려 있다. 이를 위해 교회는 복음이 담아낸 기독교신앙을 가르칠 의지와 역량을 회복하고, 기독교 신앙의 특유성을 젊은이의 눈높이에 맞게 전수해야 한다. 이런 절박한 상황에 처한 한국교회가 요한계시록 14:6-7에나타난 영원한 복음과 세상의 모든 인간 사이의 관련성을 살핌으로써, 복음의 영향력을 회복할 방안을 모색하는 것은 시의적절하고 유의미하다. 요한은 신약 성경에서 한 번만 등장하는 ‘영원한 복음’(계 14:6)을 소개하는데, 그것은 모든 나라의 인간에게 전파되어야 한다. 계시록에서 ‘복음’이 1회만 등장하므로, ‘복음’은 상호텍스트와 더불어 탐구해야한다. 본 연구의 목적은 계시록의 복음과 인간의 의미 그리고 이 둘의 상관성을 밝히는 것인데, 이를 위해 다음 4단계로 진행된다. (1) 요한계시록의 복음과 인간에 대한 선행연구를 평가하고, (2) 계시록 14:6-7의 구약, 유대문헌, 신약, 사회역사적 간본문 그리고 계시록 안의 내적 간본문을 연구하고, (3) 계시록 14:6-7의 복음과 인간을 연구하고, 마지막으로 (4) 계시록의 기록 목적과 중심주제에서 본 복음과 인간의 상관성을 탐구한다. 이 글은 복음이란 인간이 창조와구원적 심판을 시행하시는 언약의 하나님만 경배할 때 주어지는 구원이므로 만민에게 전파되어야 할 것임을 논증한다.

영문 초록

If decline of Korean churches is intimately connected with a lack of focus on the gospel, the restoration of the church depends on a return to the gospel. For this the Church should restore the will and ability of teaching the Christian faith which is based on the gospel. And the Church should transmit the Gospel message which is suitable for young generations. The fact that Korean churches are in a desperate situation means we need to find proper methods for restoring the power of the gospel. This paper proposes doing so by studying the relationship between the eternal gospel and the people in Revelation 14:6-7. John introduces a peculiar term, ‘the eternal gospel’ (Rev. 14:6), which appears once in the New Testament. In order to research the relationship between the gospel and mankind, this paper examines the following: (1) the usages of the gospel and men from the four precedent studies, (2) intertexts of Revelation 14:6-7 with the Old and New Testament and the socio-history and its intratext, (3) exegesis of Revelation 14:6-7 focused on the gospel and men by considering the textual context, and (4) the meaning and relationship of the gospel and mankind in terms of the written purpose and the main theme of the Book of Revelation. This paper shows that the gospel is salvation for those who worship the covenantal God to whom the creation and the salvific judgment belong.
