영문 초록

This study is based on the premise that individual competencies, especially interculturalism, can be strengthened through cultural intelligence (CQ) and aims to determine whether cultural intelligence can be improved. For this purpose, the effectiveness of cultural intelligence at the beginning and end of the semester was compared through instruction of humanism classes based on metacognitive, cognitive, motivational, and behavioral cultural intelligence proposed by Earley et al. (2007). This curriculum was created based on the PRISM model which was improving culture intelligence. The results showed a significant improvement in metacognitive, cognitive, and motivational cultural intelligence through the instruction of humanism. However, in the case of behavioral cultural intelligence, there were no significant results. In conclusion, cultural intelligence can be improved through personality classes that focus on cultural intelligence. Moreover, they should be further emphasized to understand other cultures and strengthen the capacity to resolve intercultural conflicts in an increasingly globalized situation.
