국문 초록

본 연구는 코로나19 바이러스 확산 상황에서 온라인 개학에 관한 대중의 반응을 다각도로 살펴보기 위해 소셜네트워크서비스(Social Network Service, SNS) 상에서의 대화 구조, 뉴스 공유 네트워킹, 영향력자, 의미망 구조, 긍·부정적 감성을 분석하고자 한다. 데이터는 ‘온라인개학’, ‘원격수업’, ‘인터넷강의’를 키워드로, 중·고등 3학년을 대상으로 온라인 개학을 처음 시행한 4월 9일(1차시)과 이후 4월 15일(2차시) 기준 각 7일내 발생한 최대 1,800개 트윗을 수집하였다. 분석 결과, 온라인 개학이란 이벤트에 사람들이 관심이 높았고 소통도 활발히 일어났다. 온라인 개학에 관한 정보는 공신력 있는 뉴스에서 주로 찾은 반면, 원격 수업이란 활동에 대한정보는 포털 사이트를 이용하는 경향을 보였다. 한편, 온라인 개학에 대한 기대감이 큰 동시에, 효과적인 원격수업 방법, 필요한 기기 확보, 사회 경제·지역·문화적으로 소회된 계층에 대한 교육 불평등과 관련한 우려의 목소리가 있었다. 코로나19를 통해 얻은 경험과 노하우를 바탕으로 학생, 교사, 학부모, 교육 전문가 및 기관 간의 원활한 아이디어 공유와 소통을 통해 보다 효과적인 수업 환경개선을 위한 노력이 필요하겠다.

영문 초록

The present study investigates the multidimensional conversation structure and network of the public on Social Network Service (SNS) about online school opening during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data for this study are conversations on Twitter related to three keywords: “online school opening,” “distance education,” and “Internet lecture,” which were all in Korean. 1,800 Tweets at maximum related to each keyword was retrieved on April 9th (1st phase, the first day of online school opening for 9th grade and 12th grade students) and on April 15th (2nd phase). The findings showed that people had a high interest in online school opening and engaged in conversations about the event. They searched for reliable news sources regarding online school opening while using web portals for distance education information. People had high expectations about the first-ever online school opening; meanwhile, there were concerns about practical distance education, necessary digital equipment, and inequality in education in terms of socio-economic status, region, and culture. Based on the experience and know-how obtained from the online school opening, students, teachers, parents, and professionals need to share ideas and collaborate to improve the learning environment and strategies in diverse formats to enhance students’ learning during the pandemic effectively.
