충청제 가야금산조 박상근류의 악보 고찰

국문 초록

국가무형문화재 제23호인 가야금산조는 1968년 최초로 무형문화재 지정 당시 전라도제 김윤덕류와 충정도제 박상근류 두 가지를 지정하였으며, 이 시기의 박상근류 가야금산조는 1969년 국립국악원에서 악보로 발행했으나 악보가 널리 알려지지 않았다. 충청제 박상근류 가야금산조는 문화재 지정당시 약 25분가량의 음악으로 보유자 성금연의 활발한 활동으로 널리 보급되었고 산조가락 또한 확대되었다. 그러나 2010년 성금연류가 전라도산조로서 전라북도 무형문화재로 지정되면서 충청제산조인 박상근류의 전승은 모호해졌다. 따라서 본 연구자는 1968년에 중요무형문화재로 지정된 충청제 가야금산조 박상근류의 최초 공식 기록 악보인 1969년 국립국악원 발행 『한국음악, 3 산조』에 수록된 박상근류 가야금산조 악보와 1971년 이재숙 채보의 『가야금산조』에 수록된 박상근류 악보를 중심으로 악보의 기보체계, 장단구성 및 장단명, 장단별 가락구성 등을 비교 분석하여 초기 악보에 나타나는 박상근류 가야금산조의 특징을 고찰해 보고자 한다. 본 연구는 박상근류의 최초 악보 고찰을 통해 박팔괘에서 박상근으로 전승되어졌던 충청지역의 가야금산조가락을 재조명 해보는 데 의의를 두고자 한다.

영문 초록

When Gayageum Sanjo was first designated as the 23rd important intangible cultural asset in 1968, two styles were recognized, namely the Kim Yun-deok school of the Jeolla-do area and the Park Sang-geun school of Chungcheong-do. In 1969, the Park Sang-geun school of Gayageum Sanjo was published as sheet music by the National Gugak Center, which until then was not widely known. The Park Sang-geun school Gayageum Sanjo of the Chungcheong area was music that had a duration of about 25 minutes and was widely distributed thanks to the activities of the holder Seong Geum-ryun leading the expansion of the sanjo melody. However, the transmission of the Park Sang-geun school of Sanjo became obscured when the Seong Geum-ryun school, a sanjo of the Jeolla area, was designated as an intangible cultural asset of Jeollabuk-do in 2010. This research reviews the characteristics of the Park Sang-geun school Gayageum Sanjo as it appears in the early sheet music by comparing and analyzing the notation system, rhythm constitution, rhythm name, and melody constitution per rhythm, among other features, focusing on the sheet music that is included in the score “Korean Music, 3 Sanjo” published by the National Gugak Center in 1969. It is the first record of the Park Sang-geun school Gayageum Sanjo of the Chungcheong area designated as an important intangible cultural asset in 1968 and the Park Sang-geun school sheet music published in “Gayageum Sanjo,” a transcription made by Lee Jae-sook in 1971. The purpose of this study is to re-examine the Gayageum Sanjo of the Chungcheong area that was passed down from Park Pal-gwae to Park Sang-geun by reviewing the sheet music of the Park Sang-geun school for the first time.
