자율운항선박 육상제어기술 소개

국문 초록

자율운항선박(Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships, MASS)의 육상제어기술은 자율운항선박에 비상상황이 발생하는 경우 육상에서 원격으로 제어하기 위한 것이다. 육상에서 원격으로 제어하기 위해서는 원격제어 장치와 고도로 숙달된 육상 운용자가 필요하다. 원격제어장치는 주로 세 부분으로 구성되는데, 육상에서 선박을 감시하고 제어하기 위한 육상제어 장치, 육상의 제어명령을 송수신하기 위한 원격 데이터 통신장치, 선박에서 제어명령을 수신하여 선박을 제어하기 위한 선박제어 장치이다. 아울러 육상 운용자는 고도로 숙달된 선박조종 기술은 물론 원격제어 장치 제어능력이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 5년간에 걸쳐서 육상제어기술을 개발하여 육상실험과 실선실험을 통해서 성능을 입증할 예정이다. 본 연구는 미래 MASS 개발에서의 핵심기술로 적용될 것이 기대된다.

영문 초록

The shore-based control technology of maritime autonomous surface ships (MASS) is to remotely control the MASS in case of emergency situations. Remote control from the onshore requires a remote control system and a highly skilled onshore operator. The remote control system mainly consists of three parts: a onshore-based control units for monitoring and controlling the MASS at sea, a remote data communication units for transmitting and receiving a control command between the MASS and onshore, and a MASS control units controlling the MASS by control command from the onshore. In addition, onshore operators are required to be highly skilled in ship-handling technology as well as to control remote control system. In this study, the onshore-based control technology will be developed over 5 years and the performance will be verified through the land- and sea-trial tests. This study is expected to be applied as a key technology in future MASS development.
