공학교육인증과 관련한 공학적 글쓰기 강의 모형 연구

국문 초록

최근 대학작문교육의 현실에 비추어 볼 때, 공학적 글쓰기를 보다 효율적으로 진행하고 공학도들의 글쓰기 능력신장에 도움이 될 수 있는 방안을 마련하는 것은 매우 시급한 일이다. 본 연구는 이에 대한 현실적 대안으로 공학적 글쓰기 지도의 실현과 방법론을 모색하려는 의도에서 출발하였다. 따라서 궁극적인 목적은 공학적 글쓰기에 대한 강의 자료를 공유하고 좀 더 발전적인 교수 학습의 모형을 연구하고자 함이다. 본 연구는 공학교육인증에서 요구하는 인재형에 기준을 두고 전문교양능력을 신장시킬 수 있는 방안의 일환으로 먼저 공학적 글쓰기의 텍스트유형을 살펴보았다. 또한 이를 토대로 현재 충남대학교 공과대학에서 진행하고 있는 <공학논문작성과 발표> 강좌의 구체적인 강의 내용을 분석하여 공학적 글쓰기 지도의 교육적 의의를 고찰하였다. 그 결과 의사소통의 중요성 인식, 분류별 글쓰기 지도의 다양한 접근 노력, 조별활동을 통한 협동학습의 장려, 상호 첨삭을 통한 글쓰기 수정하기 전략의 이해, 발표자의 자세와 자기 점검 등의 교육적 효과를 기대할 수 있었다. 그러나 동시에 <공학논문작성과 발표> 강좌가 지니는 한계 및 문제점도 있음을 지적하여 다방면의 개선 방안을 찾고자 노력하였다. 이는 공학적 글쓰기의 발전적인 강의모형 연구에 또 하나의 계기를 마련하고자 하는 시도라고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Considering the present situation of university writing education, it is urgent to arrange plans that will carry out engineering writing more efficiently and help enhance writing ability of the engineering students. This research started with the intention of realizing instruction of engineering writing and finding methodology as a realistic measure for this. Therefore, the ultimate purpose is to share lecturing materials for engineering writing and study models of more progressive teaching-learning method. This research examined types of texts in engineering writing as a way to enhance the specialized refinement with the standard of talented persons that are required by engineering education certification. In addition, on the basis of the aforementioned, it considers the educational significance of engineering writing instruction by analyzing the specific contents of the lecture, , which is being carried out in Engineering College of Chungnam National University. As a result of this analysis, the educational effect could be expected such as awareness of significance of communication, various efforts for approaching classified writing instruction, encouragement of cooperative learning through group activities, understanding of revising strategy for writing through mutual correction, posture of the presenters, and self-inspection. However, the analysis, at the same time, revealed limits and problems that the lecture, has, and I tried to find various ways to improve them. This could be said to be an attempt to provide another opportunity for studying progressive models of engineering writing lecture.
