국문 초록

이 논문에서는 인성을 기르기 위한 읽기의 방법을 모색하였다. 교양을 두루 갖추고 인성이 풍부한 사람으로 성장하는 과정에서 독서의 역할은 매우 중요하다. 인간다운 품성과 인격을 갖추는 교육이 이제 다시 부상하는 이유는 지식교육이 너무 심각하게 비대해져 사람 됨됨이에 심각한 문제를 낳는 현실과 대면하고 있기 때문이다. 현실은 사람답게 살아가는 길이 필요하다고 역설적인 상황을 보여주고 있기에 이제 대학교육에서 인성이야기를 하게 되었다. 인성교육의 목적은 자신을 성찰할 수 있는 힘을 기르는 데 있다. 반성적 사유를 할 줄 모르는 사람은 인성의 품위가 높다고 하기 어렵다. 그런데 인성을 교육하는 일에서 읽기는 얼마나 중요한 역할을 할 수 있는 것인가. 인성이 지성과 상식을 겸비한 교양과 인문지식에서 성장하는 것이므로 읽기 없이 자성의 힘을 키우기는 어렵다. 타인의 삶을 간접체험하는 길이 바로 읽기이기 때문이다. 인간에게 간접체험이 없는 영역은 무지한 대상이기 때문이다. 모든 읽기행위는 잠정적으로 쓰기를 향해 있다. 읽기는 생각의 크기를 확장하면서 그 생각의 조화로운 배열인 쓰기로 이어져 있다. 이런 특성상 읽기의 집중과 선택은 고도의 인식을 생산하는 쓰기를 낳는다. 그런데 현실적으로 작문교육에서 읽기는 상대적으로 수동적인 영역으로 이해되는 측면이 있다. 쓰기가 본격적인 작문영역이라면 읽기는 쓰기를 위한 보조영역이나, 작문을 위한 선행단계로 여겨지는 부분이 있다. 쓰기와 읽기, 혹은 읽기와 쓰기는 선후를 엄격하게 구분짓거나 중요도의 비중을 구분하기는 애매하다. 작문교육에서 이 둘은 거의 유사한 비중과 의미를 갖고 있다. 『이것이 인간인가』를 읽고 던질 수 있는 질문은 자기 이성의 절제나 초월의 힘을 위기상황에서 발휘할 수 있는 힘은 외부로부터 던져지는 것이 아니라 자신 내면에 잠재되어 있다는 것을 확인하는 일이다. 인성 함양이란 것은 정보를 입력해서 이해하고 확장하는 데이터의 저장과 확장의 형식이 아니다. 인간적인 감수성과 자기배려의 힘을 일깨울 수 있는 의지를 발현하는 힘이 내 안에 있어서 다만, 그것을 발휘하면 되는 일임을 깨닫는 것이 중요하다. 마치, 어머니가 아이를 위해 희생적인 사랑을 감당하듯이 그 용기 속에서 자신을 발견하는 일을 겪는 것을 책을 읽어가는 과정에서 체험한 것이다. 위기 속에서 자존감을 지켜나가고, 억압과 감시의 사회환경 안에서도 그 환경을 객관적인 시선으로 읽어낼 수 있는 힘을 잃지 않을 수 있을 때, 우리는 인간으로 살아 있을 수 있다. 이 책은 그 살아있었음의 증거물이었음을 알 수 있다. 인간다운 품성이나 성격을 갖추고 있다는 기준은 너무 광범위하거나 모호하지만 상식적인 세계에서 지녀야 할 인간됨됨이 정도로 일단 인성의 의미를 포괄적으로 묶어 보자. 특히 기성세대는 자라나는 세대에게 자기중심적인 사고에서 벗어나 상대에 대한 배려심을 키우기를 기대한다. 개인성은 갈수록 커져 가지만, 이것 자체가 문제가 되는 것도 상대적인 상황에서 발생하는 것이므로 애매한 경우도 없지는 않다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이 사회가 요구하는 상식수준의 가치를 추구할 수 있는 인간성을 말하지 않을 수 없고, 그 성품을 기르는 일을 책읽기를 통해 시도하는 일은 늘 지속되어야 한다.

영문 초록

In this paper, we try to find a way to raise the toughness read. The role of reading is to help equip all important first liberal arts, Second, help the humanity to grow rich people. The reason the human personality and the attitude we need now is educational equip again is because education and knowledge too seriously problem reality lays a serious problem for peoplei. Because the reality is showing the paradoxical situation that the people live long like a need now to talk toughness in higher education. The purpose of the character education is to cultivate the power to reflect on your own. I do not know how to do a reflection of the human person, it is difficult to answer that. But in reading the work to educate humanity is capable of and how will play an important role. Toughness, it is difficult to raise the power of reflection without reading this because you are growing at most arts and humanities with intelligence and common sense. Length of indirect experience the lives of others, because just reading it. Area does not have indirect human experience because it is an unknown destination. All the reading behavior can potentially towards writing. Reading has led to a harmonious arrangement of notes of that idea, expanding the size of the idea. The choice of such a nature and focus lays reading and writing recognition for producing highly. But realistically in terms of composition teaching reading has to be understood as a relatively passive area. If you are writing a full-scale reading writing area is considered to be a part of the preceding steps for the secondary zone or, writing for the taking. Writing and reading, or reading and writing are strictly sequential, or share it is difficult to distinguish the severity. These two have very similar weight and meaning in writing instruction. It is not the type of personality foster understanding and input to the expansion of data storage and to expand the information. Been maintaining self-esteem in a crisis, when the environment even in the social environment of repression and surveillance could not lose the power that can be read with an objective eye, we can be alive as a human. Standards that have a human character or personality is too broad or vague, but enough humanity to possess common sense world once bound to the meaning of the toughness comprehensive. Especially the older generation is expected to grow by caring for a relative out of self-centered thinking to future generations. Personality increasingly large thing, it is often ambiguous because arising from relative work itself is also a problem. Nevertheless, you can not never tell humanity to seek the value of common sense that the community needs, one thing to try to bring up their character through the reading should always persist.
