국문 초록

본 연구는 경마도박 중독자의 경마장 재방문에 관하여 탐구하는 것을 목적으로 어떤 경험이 경마장을 재방문하게 만드는지에 대하여 알아보고자 한다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하고자 연구참여자 8명과 1:1심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였으며 수집된 자료는 Giorgi(1970; 1985)의 현상학적 연구방법으로 분석하였다. 분석결과, ‘빅윈’, ‘큰 손실’, ‘베팅에 성공했을 때의 짜릿함’, ‘강한 승부욕’, ‘말의 모습과 달릴 때의 느낌’, ‘경마장 내의 사교적 행위와 문화’의 총 6개의 범주로 나누어 볼 수 있었다. 또한, 일반적 구조진술 단계에서 통합적 주제를 도출할 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 경마도박중독자들의 중독 문제해결을 위한 함의를 제공하고자 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the experiences that trigger gamblers to revisit the horse racetrack with an aim of exploring the addicts’ revisit to racing gambling sites. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, data was collected through one-on-one in-depth interviews with eight research participants, and the collected data were analyzed by Giorgi(1970; 1985) phenomenological research method. The result of the analysis was divided into six categories: ‘Big Win’, ‘Big Loss’, ‘Excitement from successful betting’, ‘Strong desire for winning’, ‘The look of horses and the feeling when they are running’, and ‘Social behavior and culture in a horse racing courses’. In addition, integrated theme was derived in the general structural statement stage. Based on this, it was intended to provide implications to address the issue of horse racing gambling addition.
