국문 초록

이 글의 목적은 사제관계에 기초하여 질적 연구 전문가로 성장 및 발달해 가는 과정을 자문화기술지로 이야기함으로써 한 질적 연구자의 변환적인 과정과 그 의미를 해석하는 데 있다. 연구결과를 간략하게 제시하면 다음과 같다. 입문 단계(起): 현장교사였던 나는 한 스승의 진정성 있는 격려로 질적 연구방법론에 입문할 수 있었다. 성장 단계(承): 질적 연구 초심자였던 나는 스승의 전문적인 도움을 바탕으로 질적 연구방법론의 세부 절차와 방법을 익힐 수 있었다. 또한, 나는 스승을 통해 단편적으로 질적 연구를 수행하는 수준을 넘어, 질적 연구방법론자로 성장하는 데 필요한 전문적 자질을 갖추게 되었다. 발달 단계(轉): 전임교수가 된 나는 스승의 학문적 리더십으로 연구방법과 연구영역을 확장할 수 있었다. 세대전이 단계(結): 질적 연구방법론자가 된 나는 스승의 학문적 열정을 거울삼아 또 다른 스승으로서 후세대를 양성할 수 있는 역량을 갖게 되었다. 이 연구의 결과는 사제관계를 기반으로 한 질적 연구자의 성장과 발달 과정을 조명함으로써 질적 연구방법에 대한 교수 및 학습 전략을 제공하고, 질적 연구방법론의 전승과 발전을 위한 경험적 및 이론적 자료로써 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The aim of this paper is to interprettransitional process of becoming a qualitative researcher and its meaning through autoethnography based on the teacher-student relationship to teach and learn qualitative research. The specific results and conclusions are as follows. Introduction stage 1: I as a doctoral student and school teacher had become a master’s pupil owing to authentic encouragement of a professional who was a master in qualitative research domain. Growth stage 2: I as a novice qualitative researcher and dispatched teacher could have learned methodic procedures and skills of qualitative research methodology through professional help of my master. Also, I as a qualitative researcher could have built expertise to become a proficient research methodologist with master’s help in teacher-student relationship. Development stage 3: I who became a professor in a university could have expanded and extended research topics and methods such as autoethnography and life history research thanks to master’s academic leadership. Intergenerational transmission stage 4: I who became aa master in qualitative research could have taught next generation who want to be a qualitative researcher by mirroring my master’s academic enthusiasm. The results of this paper could be an empirical and theoretical exemplar in teaching and learning of qualitative research methodology by shedding light on growth and development of a qualitative researcher in terms of teacher-student relationship.
