유아의 움직임을 위한 발도르프교사의 라이겐 경험이야기

국문 초록

본 연구는 시와 노래를 가지고 전신을 움직이는 동작예술활동인 라이겐을 실천하는 발도르프교사의 경험 연구를 통해 유아가 기능적인 움직임을 주지주의적으로 배우는 것을 지양하고, 비정형의 움직임을 경험하며 자신 만의 움직임을 형성해갈 수 있도록 유아의 움직임을 지원하기 위한 유아교육의 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2018년 11월부터 2019년 1월까지 11주 동안 발도르프교사 4인과 각 2회씩 심층면담을 실시하였다. 연구문제는 발도르프교사가 인식한 유아의 움직임은 무엇인지, 발도르프교사가 유아의 움직임을 위해 라이겐을 실천하는 방법은 어떠한지, 발도르프교사가 라이겐을 실천하며 발견하는 것은 무엇인지다. 수집된 자료는 면담자료, 현장노트, 현장의 연간교육계획안, 라이겐 연간계획안, 라이겐 내용 등 기타자료이며 이는 질적연구방법 절차에 따라 분석되었다. 연구결과는 첫째, 발도르프교사가 인식한 유아의 움직임은 의지력이 약한 움직임, 움직임이 부족한 생활이었고, 교사들은 다양한 움직임을 할 수 있는 공간과 시간 제공, 모범적인 움직임 보이기, 라이겐 등으로 유아의 움직임을 지원하고 있었다. 둘째, 발도르프교사가 라이겐을 실천하는 방법은 교사와 유아의 삶과 자연현상을 담은 내용을 준비하고, 그 내용에 맞는 삶의 본질적인 움직임을 사실적으로 표현하려고 노력하였다. 그리고 유아들에게 참여와 표현의 자유를 주었다. 셋째, 라이겐 실천을 통해 발도르프교사가 발견한 것은 교사가 여러 시행착오를 겪으며 자신의 움직임을 정돈하고 호흡을 가다듬어 안정감을 찾는 시간으로 보낼 수 있게 되었다는 것, 유아들은 라이겐 속의 움직임이 자신의 몸에 흡수되어 일상에서 표현되고, 다양한 움직임을 즐기는 모습이 보였다는 것, 반복적으로 경험하는 라이겐의 내용을 일상생활에서 경험하게 되었을 때 유아가 스스로 사고로 확장한다는 것이었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data of early childhood education to support toddler’s movements through the experiential study of Waldorf teacher practicing Reigen, a movement art activity to encourage movements of the whole body with poems and songs. For this, in 11 weeks from November 2018 to January 2019, in-depth interviews were conducted with four Waldorf teachers in two times for each. The research questions are: what movement of the toddler the Waldorf teacher recognized, how Waldorf teacher was practicing Reigen for the movement of toddler, and what Waldorf teacher discovered while practicing Reigen. The collected data were interview data, field notes, and kindergarten’s annual training plan, Reigen annual plan, Reigen contents, and other data and they were analyzed according to the qualitative research method. The results of the study were as follows: First, the movements of toddler perceived by Waldorf teacher were those with weak willpower, and the fact that toddler were living with lack of movement. So teachers were providing space and time for various movements, showing exemplary movements, and supporting toddler’s movements with Reigen. Second, as a method of practicing Reigen, Waldorf teacher prepared contents containing the life and natural phenomena of teachers and toddlers, and tried to realistically express the essential movements of life that fit the contents. And teacher gave the toddler freedom of participation and expression. Third, what Waldorf teacher discovered through the practice of Reigen was that the teacher himself refined his movements and refined his breath through Reigen as time went by, and was able to find stability. The Toddler absorbed the movements of Reigen into their bodies. The teacher also found that it was expressed in everyday life and toddlers enjoyed various movements, and the content of Reigen, after repeatedly experiences, was expanded into thinking of the toddlers themselves when they experienced it in everyday life.
