디아코니아학의 도움으로 “해방신학 유효하게 만들기”

국문 초록

60년대에 라틴 아메리카에서 등장한 해방신학은 그 현장성과 역동성에도 불구하고 제도 교회로부터 거절되었다. 그 이유는 기성 권위를 부정하는 마르크스의 ‘계급 투쟁’ 이론을 해방신학이 취하고 있기 때문이다. 특히 90년대 동구 공산주의의 붕괴로 인하여 사회주의에 연계된 해방신학도 함께 사장될 것 같은 분위기였다. 그러나 해방신학은 세계적인 네트워크를 통해 여전히 활발한 활동을 보여주고 있으며, 해방신학에 대한 사회적 기대 또한 줄어들지 않았다. 교회는 해방신학이 공공연하게 선포한 교회의 표어, “가난한 사람들을 편드는 선택”을 저버리고는 교회가 될 수 없고 교회로서 활동할 수 없다. 그렇다면 이 목적을 수행하는 방법을 ‘계급 투쟁’이 아닌 다른 이론으로 대신할 수는 없는지 우리는 고민 한다. 해방신학의 동기와 목표를 유지한 채 방법을 바꾸려는 것이다. 해방신학의 목표 달성을 위한 사회학적 방법론을 신학적 방법론으로 교체하는 것이다. 우리는 이 글에서 제2차 바티칸 공의회, 메데인 주교회의, 그리고 푸에블라 주교회의에서 형성된 해방신학의 교회적 성격과 특징을 살펴보고, 구티에레즈 같은 해방신학자들이 이루어낸 신학적 공헌을 명료화한다. 그리고 해방신학과 그 영향에 대한 제도 교회의 긍정적이고 부정적인 반응을 <해방신학의 일부 측면에 관한 훈령>과 <그리스도교의 자유와 해방에 관한 훈령>에서 확인한다. 끝으로 마르크스의 ‘계급 투쟁’의 대안으로서 “가난한 사람들을 편드는 선택”으로서 디아코니아학의 ‘기독론’과 ‘구원론’, 장애인 신학의 디아코니아적 ‘교회론’을 제안한다.

영문 초록

Liberation theology, which appeared in Latin America in the ‘60s, was rejected by the institutional church despite its realism and dynamics. The reason is that liberation theology is taking Marx’s theory of “class struggle” that denies established authority. In particular, due to the collapse of communism in the Eastern Bloc region in the 1990s, liberation theology linked to socialism was threatened with destruction. However, liberation theology is still activethrough a worldwide network, and social expectations for liberation theology have not declined. The church cannot be a church and act as a church if it abandons the principles proclaimed by liberation theology, the “Preferential Option for the Poor.” If so, we wonder whether the method of accomplishing this purpose can not be replaced with a theory other than ‘class struggle’. We are trying to change the method by maintaining the motivation and goals of liberation theology through this study. It is to replace the sociological methodology for achieving the goal of liberation theology with the theological methodology. In this article, we examine the ecclesiastical nature and characteristics of liberation theology formed in the Second Vatican Council, Medellin and Puebla Episcopal Conferences, and clarify the theological contributions made by liberation theologians such as Gutierrez. In addition, the positive and negative reactions of the institutional church to liberation theology and its influence are confirmed in the and . Finally, as an alternative to Marx’s “class struggle,” we propose the “Christianity” and “Salvationism” of Diakonik, and the Diaconian “Ecclesiology” of “the theology of the disabled” as “Preferential Option for the Poor”.
