타자를 향한 교회

국문 초록

필자는 이 논문에서 본회퍼의 신학 사상과 레비나스의 타자 철학을 비교함으로써 오늘날 요청되는 참된 교회를 재구성하기 위한 기초를 다지고자 했다. 필자는 먼저 본회퍼와 레비나스가 타자를 자아로 환원하는 서구의 내재성의 철학을 어떻게 비판하는지를 밝혔다. 둘째, 필자는 교회(또는 일반 공동체)의 사회적 기초 개념인 나-너 관계와 하나님의 형상에 대한 본회퍼와 레비나스의 이해를 비교 고찰했다. 셋째, 필자는 하나님-인간 그리스도 또는 성육신에 대한 그들의 이해를 비교 고찰했다. 넷째, 필자는 비종교적 해석을 통한 하나님과 그리스도, 그리스도인, 교회에 대한 본회퍼의 새로운 이해와 레비나스의 종교와 야웨의 종, 교회에 대한 이해를 고찰했다. 이상의 고찰을 통해 우리는 미래의 그리스도인은 타자를 위한 인간, 미래의 교회는 타자를 위한(향한) 교회임을 알 수 있다. 그리고 미래의 신학은 타자를 위한(향한) 신학이 될 것으로 생각한다. 교회와 일반 공동체의 구성원은 전체를 위한 추가적 존재가 아니라 그 자체로 타자성을 지닌 고유한 존재다. 그러므로 “실재는 무겁다”(레비나스)는 고백으로부터 다시 출발해야 할 것이다. 필자에게 본회퍼와 레비나스의 사상은 어려운 모험이다. 기쁜 모험을 감행하기 위해 필요한 것은 “신앙의 비밀 훈련”(Arkandisziplin)이다.

영문 초록

In this article, I want to lay a foundation for reconstructing the true church by comparing Bonhoeffer’s theology with Levinas’ philosophy of the other. First, I study how Bonhoeffer and Levinas similarly criticize the Interiority of Western philosophy which reduces the other to the ego. Second, I consider their understandings of not only the I-Thou relation which is the basic social concept of the church community (or the community in general) but of the image of God. Third, I inquire into their understandings of the God-Man Christ or Incarnation. Fourth, I reflect upon not only Bonhoeffer’s a new understanding of God, Christ, Christian, and the church through a non-religious interpretation but Levinas’ understanding of religion, the servant of Yahweh, and the church. Through these considerations, we can see that the future Christian is the person for others, and future church is the church for others. And I think the theology of the future will be the theology for others. The members of the church and the community in general are not additional beings for the whole, but unique beings who have Otherness in themselves. Therefore, we will have to start again from the confession that “reality has weight”(Levinas). For me, the ideas of Bonhoeffer and Levinas are difficult adventures. “Arkandisziplin” is necessary for us to have joyful adventures.
