국문 초록

본 논문은 프리드리히 슐라이어마허의 삼위일체론의 독특성에 관해 연구하는 것이 주된 목적이다. 일반적으로 슐라이어마허는 그의 신학에서 삼위일체론을 중요하게 생각하지 않았고, 나아가 사벨리아니즘을 따른다고 부정적인 평가를 받아왔다. 그러나 본 논문은 슐라이어마허의 삼위일체론은 기독교 신앙을 이해하는 데 있어서 매우 중요한 역할을 하며 교부들의 삼위일체 이해와 그 맥락을 같이 함으로 전통을 고수함과 동시에 재해석하여 발전시켰음을 보여준다. 슐라이어마허에게 삼위일체론은 추상적인 교리적 관념이 아니다. 기독교 신앙의 핵심이며 나아가 하나님의 인과율에 따라 인간의 의식과 감정 속에 깃든 하나님의 사랑을 경험할 수 있도록 틀을 마련해 주는 중요한 삶의 원리이다.

영문 초록

This essay explores the Trinity of Friedrich Schleiermacher. Generally, Schleiermacher has been accused of marginalizing the Trinity in his theology and as reflecting Sabellius’s theology. The author argues that the Trinity for Schleiermacher is not marginalized; rather, it plays a pivotal role in understanding Christian faith. Although the Trinity refers to God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, in Schleiermacher’s Trinity, the persons are not separate; each is the essence of the divine. In this sense, the Trinity of Schleiermacher exceeds Sabellianism by drawing on patristic theology, such as the writings of Athanasius, Irenaeus, and the Cappadocians. However, Schleiermacher goes beyond the early fathers by applying his concept of the Trinity to Christian consciousness. Although Schleiermacher is the so-called father of modern liberal theology, he developed the doctrine of the Trinity within the tradition to apply to religious feeling and consciousness, which was a contemporary issue. After reviewing the relationship between Schleiermacher’s Trinity and the patristic theology, the author describes Schleiermacher’s novel perspective on the Trinity: God’s redemptive love is embedded in the Trinity.
