日韓両言語の助詞｢ヲ｣と｢ul/lul｣の付加詞用法について

국문 초록

本論文は、日本語と韓国語における付加詞として機能する｢ヲ｣と｢ul/lul｣について考察した。両言語の対格助詞は目的語を表示する点では一致しているが、それぞれの用法における詳細は異っている。特に、｢ヲ｣と｢ul/lul｣が付加詞として機能する場合においては、その違いが明確になる。ここではこの違いを分析するために、研究対象になる用法を用いた文を訳しながら、その意味的な違いを分析した。まず、日本語の[期間]を表す｢ヲ｣と韓国語の[強調]を表す｢ul/lul｣は意味的に類似していながらも、1:1に訳できないことが確認された。また、日本語の[状況]を表す｢ヲ｣の用法は、そのまま、韓国語の｢ul/lul｣用法に翻訳できないことも確認した。この点は両言語における付加詞用法の｢ヲ｣と｢ul/lul｣が表す意味的な違いによると考えられる。また、日本語においては｢ヲ｣の付加詞用法の共起制約が厳しい一方、韓国語の｢ul/lul｣はそれほど共起が厳しくないことからも、両言語間の違いが見られた。

영문 초록

In the present article, I examine the adjunct usages of the particles o (Japanese) and ul/lul (Korean). These accusative case particles in the two languages exhibit parallelism in that they mark an object, but their details in each use are different. In particular, the differences between o and ul/ lul stand out when they function as an adjunct. To clarify these differences, I translate target sentences and point out their differences in meaning. Firstly, the “duration” use of o in Japanese is semantically similar to the “emphasis” use of ul/lul in Korean, but direct translations are not possible. Secondly, the “circumstance” use of o in Japanese cannot be literally translated to ul/lul in Korean. These differences, I suggest, stem from semantic differences between the adjunct uses of o and ul/lul. Finally, the co-occurrence restriction on the adjunct use of o in Japanese is severe, compared with the corresponding restriction on the adjunct use of ul/lul in Korean, which indicates a further point of difference between the two languages.
