청소년의 건강행태와 정신건강: 일반가정과 다문화가정 비교

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 일반가정과 다문화가정 청소년의 건강행태, 정신건강을 비교하고, 일반가정을 기준으로 다문화가정이 청소년의 건강행태와 정신건강에 미치는 영향력의 정도를 파악하기 위함이다. 본 연구는 질병관리본부가 실시한 2013년 제9차 청소년 건강행태 온라인조사의 원시자료를 사용하여 SPSS 21.0으로 복합표본 분석하였다. 본 연구의 대상자는 총 71,547명으로 일반가정의 청소년은 99.1%(70,743명), 다문화가정 청소년은 0.9%(804명)이다. 연구결과, 일반가정과 다문화가정 청소년의 건강행태 및 정신건강 수준은 음주(chi-square=4.727, p=.030), 약물경험(chi-square=192.356, p<.001), 우울(chi-square=10.815, p=.001), 자살생각(chi-square=11.234, p=.001) 변수에서 유의하게 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 다문화가정 청소년은 일반가정 청소년에 비해 약물경험(OR=7.092, CI=4.539-11.081), 우울(OR=1.339, CI=1.103-1.626)과 자살생각(OR=1.300, CI=1.048-1.612)의 위험이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 다문화가정 청소년의 신체적, 정신적 건강예방차원을 포함한 건강행위역량강화 프로그램의 개발 및 시행하는 것은 앞으로 국가발전 및 성장을 위한 우선 정책이라 본다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to compare the health behaviors and mental health between general youth and multi-cultural youth and to examine impact of multi-cultural family on health behaviors and mental health in Korean adolescent. The data were derived from the 9th Korea youth risk behavior web-based survey 2013 in Korea and analyzed using the IBM SPSS statistics version 21.0 software package considering complex samples analysis. The subjects were 71,547 Korean adolescents (general youth: 70,743, 99.1%, multi-cultural youth: 804, 0.9%). There were significant differences in alcohol experience (chi-square=4.727, p=.030), substance experience (chi-square=192.356, p<.001), depression (chi-square=10.815, p=.001), and suicidal ideation (chi-square=11.234, p=.001) between general youth and multi-cultural youth. As a logistic regression, the risk of substance experience (OR=7.092, CI=4.539-11.081), depression (OR=1.339, CI=1.103-1.626) and suicidal ideation (OR=1.300, CI=1.048-1.612) was increased in multi-cultural youth compared to general youth. Therefore the findings of this study indicate HBEP (health behavior empowerment program) including prevention strategies to health behaviors and mental health of adolescents in multi-cultural families need to be priority for country’s development.
