국문 초록

대학종합평가인정제는 대학교육협의회가 주관이 되어 국내 대학들의 질을 평가하는 유일한 공식적인 제도이다. 그러나 이 제도는 본질적인 한계와 역기능을 가지고 있다. 대부분의 경우 평가기준과 지표에 대해 비판이 제기되고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하고 대학종합평가의 목적을 달성하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 각 대학의 자체평가연구보고서가 신뢰성 있게 작성되어야 한다. 특히 설문조사 결과를 활용하는 평가지표의 경우에는 설문조사 결과의 신뢰성과 타당성이 더욱 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 설문조사를 요구하는 17개 문항점수에 대하여 통계적 방법을 활용한 내용분석을 수행하였다. 나아가 이에 기초하여 현행 평가지표의 문제점을 지적하고 그 해결방안을 모색하였다.

영문 초록

University accreditation is the only formal system evaluating the quality of university, which is in charge of Korean council for university education. But university accreditation is not free from inherent limitations and dysfunctions. In nine cases out of ten criticisms seem to focus on evaluation indicators and criteria. In order to solve the problems and achieve the goals of university accreditation, primarily self-evaluation report of every university should be reliable. Especially the survey results of evaluation indicators which are required to be measured by questionnaire survey should have still more reliability and validity. In this paper, we analyzed the scores of the seventeen questions statistically. And using these as a basis we tried to find solutions of the problems of evaluation indicators and criteria.
