시계열 판별분석에 의한 강우현상예측에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 2003년 기상청 집중관측기간 (6월 20일에서 7월 4일 까지)동안 해남지역에서 관측된 기상관측자료를 사용하여 바람과 강우현상간에 관계를 분석하고, 바람에 의한 강우현상의 예측방법에 대해 고려하였다. 이를 위해 시계열플롯을 사용한 기술통계적 방법으로 바람과 강우현상간에 연관성을 분석하였으며, 분석 결과를 토대로 시계열 판별모형을 설정하여 모형추정 및 강우현상 예측방법을 제안하였다. 그 결과 6hr 동안 관측된 지상 0~1km의 연직풍속 시계열을 판별변수로 사용할 경우 해당기간의 강우현상을 94% 이상의 정확도로 예측할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

Simultaneous observations with a autosonde, a windprofiler, a optical rain gauge, and surface meteorological instruments were conducted at Haenam, which is located on the seashore area, Junnam Province, during 20 June-4 July, 2003. Descriptive time series plots of the observations showed that there was a strong relationship between precipitation and wind data obtained from meteorological instruments operating at Haenam. To confirm this relationship, a time domain discriminant analysis is applied to the same observations. The analysis showed that the 0-1km southwesterly vertical wind field is strongly associated with the precipitation by local-scale cloud systems prevailed at Haenam. Based on this relationship, we constructed a time series discriminant analysis to predict precipitation. When 6hr/10min period of 0-1km southwesterly vertical wind is taken as time series discriminant variable, it is seen that the discriminant analysis predicted precipitation well with more than 94% accuracy.
