준이상 수요체계(AIDS)를 이용한 한국의 육류수요분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국 육류수요의 소득탄력성과 가격탄력성을 추정하고 이를 평가한다. 자료는 1995∼2005년의 통계청 도시가계조사 원시자료(source data)를 이용하고, LA/AIDS모형 및 SUR방법을 이용하여 추정한다. 추정결과, 쇠고기, 닭고기, 돼지고기 그리고 기타생육에 대한 소득탄력성과 자기가격탄력성은 경제이론에 부합되고 통계적으로도 적합하였으며 각각 1.28, 0.90, 0.59, 0.91과 -0.998, -1.346, -0.789, -1.071로 나타났다. 본 모델의 추정결과에 의하면, 한국의 육류수요는 돼지고기수요를 중심으로 꾸준한 증가추세를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 한 미 FTA 등으로 인한 육류의 가격하락이 예상되므로 육류수요는 더욱 증가할 것으로 전망된다.

영문 초록

We estimates income and own-price demand elasticitie of Korean meat demand system and evaluates the result in this paper. The data use the yearly penal data from 1995 to 2005 of the household income and expenditure survey of Korean urban households of a National Statistical Office. And we estimates using LA/AIDS Model and SUR methodology. Estimated result fo the model, our estimated income and own-price demand elasticities for beef, pork, chicken and other raw meat, which were quite compatible with economic theory and suitable even statistically. Their coefficients are 1.28, 0.90, 0.59 and 0.91, and -0.998, -1.346, -0.789 and -1.071, respectively. And the meats demand of Korea is increasing steadily. In the future, we can expect that the meat demand will be increased due to the price depreciation of the meat which is caused by the FTA and so on.
