한 초등학교 교사의 의사소통 지도경험에 대한 자문화기술지

국문 초록

이 글의 목적은 교사로서의 저자가 한 남학생을 대상으로 의사소통을 지도하는 경험을 통하여 의사소통 지도 방법과 그것의 교육적 의미를 탐구하는 데에 있다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구자로서의 나는 학생에게 부족한 대화 경험을 제공하기 위하여 교사의 역할에 엄마의 역할을 추가하여 의사소통 지도를 시도하였으나, 부모로서의 역할을 대신하여 의사소통을 하는 데는 한계가 있었다. 둘째, 학생이 또래와 잘 어울리기 위하여 필요한 의사소통 방식으로 감정 표현하기를 지도하였으나 감정 표현하기는 공감과 배려가 동반되어야 감정표현이 잘 일어나고 의사소통이 원활하게 진행되었다. 셋째, 의사소통 지도 과정에서 갈등이 발생하였다. 그 이유로는 저자와 참여학생은 상호의존적인 관계이며 저자가 학생의 마음을 공감하지 못했기 때문이다. 넷째, 학생이 의사소통을 배우고 향상되기 위해서는 교사의 역할 못지않게 친구들의 배려와 학급 구성원들의 지지가 필요했다. 이 연구는 초등학생을 대상으로 의사소통 지도 방법과 화법교육 내용 구성에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to explore the method and educational meaning in teaching communication to a boy in elementary school. The results are as follows. Firstly, as a researcher I tried to communicate with the boy both as a mother and teacher to give conversation experiences. But there was a limitation in communication for a teacher taking the role of a substitute mother. Secondly, I taught him to express the emotion to help him get along with friends. But for successful eexpression empathy and consideration of conversation were required and emotional expression can facilitate communication. Thirdly, the conflict occurred in communication between the research and the boy, as we were in interdependent relationship but the research didn’t sympathize with the boy. Fourthly, the friends’ support and consideration were essential to learn and improve to communicate with others. Not only a teacher, but also friends support was required to help improve the boy’s communication skill. The results of this paper can contribute to development of the teaching methods of communication and creation of the listening and speaking education contents for 3rd grade elementary school.
