외상 후 성장 경험에 대한 질적 메타분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 외상 경험자가 외상 후 성장 과정에서 어떠한 변화를 경험하는지 탐색하는 것이다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 외상 후 성장 경험에 대한 질적 연구를 대상으로 질적 메타분석을 실시하였다. 질적 메타분석은 개별 연구물에 대한 종합적인 분석을 통해 연구물이 제시하는 결과로부터 축적된 지식과 더 확장된 결론을 도출할 수 있는 연구 방법이다. 분석 대상 논문은 외상 후 성장 경험을 주제로 질적 연구를 수행한 국내 학술지(KCI 등재지) 연구 논문 15편이다. 분석 대상 논문의 자료코딩 및 범주, 개별 연구간 상호 비교·분석, 결과 도출, 종합적 결과 도출 및 도식화 과정을 거쳐 외상 후 성장 변화 경험을 도출하였다. 그 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 외상 후 성장의 과정은 정서수용과 인지 재구성을 통한 순환적 성장으로 나타났다. 둘째, 외상 후 성장 과정의 변화관련 요소는 심리적 수용, 의도적 반추, 사회적 지지로 나타났다. 셋째, 외상 후 성장 과정은 외상경험-실존적 고통-대처-실존적 성장으로 4단계의 변화단계가 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 외상 후 성장 과정의 변화 단계 특징을 설명하고 종합적인 결과를 도출하였다. 또한 그 의미를 논의하고, 연구의 의의, 상담을 위한 시사점과 제한점을 제시하고 후속 연구를 위해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the changes of a trauma experienced person in post-traumatic growth. To achieve this purpose, qualitative meta-analysis was conducted for qualitative research on post-traumatic growth experience. Qualitative meta-analysis is a research method that can draw accumulated knowledge and more extended conclusions from the previous research results through comprehensive analysis of individual research materials. The study was based on the analysis of 15 domestic journals (KCI) conducting qualitative research on the subject of post-traumatic growth experience. The study derived the experiences of post-traumatic growth through data coding and categorization of the analyzed papers, mutual comparison and analysis on individual studies, results, comprehensive results, and schematization. The results of this study are as follows: First, the process of post-traumatic growth was shown in the form of emotional acceptance and cognitive reconstruction. Second, factors related to changes in post-traumatic growth process were psychological acceptance, intentional rumination, and social support. Third, the post-traumatic growth process was built in the 4-stage process of a traumatic experience, pain, coping, and post-traumatic growth. Based on these results, the characteristics of the change phase in post-traumatic growth process were outlined and comprehensive results were derived. Also, the implications and limitations were defined to discuss the meaning of the study and the suggestions for future research were proposed.
