국문 초록

출판콘텐츠 해외지원의 핵심인 ‘출판콘텐츠’는 출판물에 담고 있는 역사성, 문자로 기록된 문화 가치로서 ‘한국어’의 위상, 언어라고 하는 문화원형의 보편성ㆍ특수성ㆍ고유성을 지니고 있고, 사회 자산으로서의 중요한 기능과 역할을 위한 지속적 양성 등이 내포되어있다. 출판콘텐츠 해외지원의 확장 측면에서 ‘지원’은 지금까지 해왔던 불특정 다수에 대한 지원이 아니라 미래지향적인 필요 수요에 적합한 지원ㆍ확장이 필요하다. 지금까지는 한국문학번역원의 번역 지원과 한국국제교류재단의 배포 지원의 이원화 정책이 추진되어 왔다면 향후에는 문화교류의 지속적인 측면에서 ‘문화’의 중요성을 인지하고, 문화외교와 문화교류의 차이를 구분해 전략적으로 지원해야 한다. 따라서 출판콘텐츠를 활용한 문화역량 강화에 필요한 출판콘텐츠 해외지원 정책과 한국문화 콘텐츠 연계를 통한 선순환 구조를 만들어야 한다.

영문 초록

Publication contents, the core of an overseas distribution of Korea-related publication contents, have universality, specialty, and uniqueness of its own culture and serve an important function as one of social assets. That is why the continuous development of publication contents is important. In this aspect, the ‘support’ should be suitable to specific users’ true requirements rather than to unspecified individuals. It used to implement a policy to enhance understanding of Korea and Korean culture abroad by two sides: to provide financial assistance for translation of Korean literature under control of the Literature Translation Institute of Korea and to support Korea-related publication contents by Korea Foundation. In the future, they should be aware of the importance of ‘culture’ and do tactical support by classification of the difference between cultural diplomacy and cultural exchange. For this, it needs to make a virtuous circulation for a strengthening of cultural competence. This study addresses the need for international competence and the natural way to encounter Korea-related publication contents.
