뉴실버 세대의 음악교육 현황에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 논문의 목적은 뉴실버 세대의 취미생활 제공과 여가복지를 목적으로 하는 음악관련 교과목의 개설 현황을 조사하여 이를 분석하는 데 있다. 연구의 대상은 전국 221개 노인복지관의 2016년 상반기에 운영하고 있는 개설 강좌 시간표를 자료 수집하여, 그 중 음악관련 교과목의 개설 현황을 살펴보았다. 수집한 자료를 분석하는 것으로 연구 방법을 선택하여 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 다른 강좌들에 비해 많은 인원을 수용하여 수업이 이루어지는 노래교실과 합창, 손쉽게 소지하고 다닐 수 있는 손 악기인 하모니카와 오카리나 교과목 위주로 개설되어 있었다. 또한, 지역별 평균 개설 강좌 수가 크게는 3배 이상 차이가 있으며, 각 복지관별 평균 개설 강좌 수는 22배 가량의 격차가 있음을 확인하였다. 전국의 노인복지관의 음악교육 프로그램 운영에 대한 현주소를 살펴본 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 나타난 문제점을 개선하여 뉴실버 세대와 그 다음 노년층에 이르기까지 다양한 교과목을 통한 음악교육을 지역에 따른 격차 없이 균등하게 누릴 수 있게 되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to look into and analyse the current status of music education programs which aim at leisure welfare and hobby activities. After collecting and analyzing the course schedules opened by 211 senior welfare centers in the first half of 2016, this study examines the subjects related to musical education among these. As the research method, this research analyses the data collected. According to the research result, singing and chorus lessons, which had the most number of participants, were available in the most centers, and followed by lectures teaching easy-to-carry instruments such as harmonica and ocarina. Also, the average number of lectures shows big differences up to three times by province, and the gap widened up to 22 times when centers were compared individually. This study, looking into the current condition of music education for New Silver generation, concludes with the expectation that it’s findings will contribute to solving the exposed problems, and ultimately realizing equal opportunities through diverse music lessons for the New Silver as well as the next generation of senior citizens without the gap between provinces.
