국문 초록

본 연구는 노동조합의 특성이 기업의 투자효율성에 차별적인 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 구 체적으로 노동조합 가입여부, 노동조합이 존재하는 기업 중 상위노동조합 가입여부, 상위노동조 합 가입 기업 중 강성노동조합 가입여부를 구분하여 분석하였다. 실증분석결과, 전체 기업을 대상으로 분석한 결과 노동조합이 존재하는 기업은 그렇지 않은 기업에 비해 상대적으로 투자효율성이 높은 것으로 나타나 노동조합이 외부지배구조의 역할을 수행하여 회계정보의 비대칭성을 낮아져 자본조달비용이 감소시킨다고 판단할 수 있다. 노동조합에 가입한 기업을 대상으로 분석한 결과 상위노동조합 가입한 기업은 그렇지 않은 기 업에 비해 상대적으로 투자효율성이 낮은 것으로 나타났으며, 상위노동조합 가입기업을 대상으 로 분석한 결과에서도 강성노조에 가입된 기업이 그렇지 않은 기업에 비해 상대적으로 투자효 율성이 낮은 결과를 보이고 있어, 이는 노동조합의 협상력이 강해지면 경영자는 노동조합과 임 금협상 시 유리한 고지를 점하고자 보고이익을 조정하여 회계정보 비대칭성이 높아져 자본조달 비용이 증가된다고 판단할 수 있다. 본 연구는 경영자의 의사결정에 노동조합이 미치는 영향을 투자효율성 측면에서 살펴보았으 며, 더 나아가 노동조합의 협상력에 따라 경영자의 투자에 대한 의사결정에 어떠한 영향을 미치 는지 확인하였다는 점에서 공헌점이 있으며, 노사 정책방향 수립과 노사관계를 기반으로 하는 기업의 회계투명성 및 신뢰성 제고 방안 모색에 대한 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study examines whether the characteristics of labor unions have a differential effect on the investment efficiency of firms. Specifically, we analyzed whether or not to join the labor union, whether the labor union had a higher level of union membership, and whether it was a strong union member among the upper union members. As a result of the empirical analysis, it is found that firms with unions have higher investment efficiency than those with non－unions. As a result, labor unions play a role of external governance and the asymmetry of accounting information is lowered It can be concluded that the cost of capital procurement is reduced. As a result of analyzing the companies that joined the labor union, it is found that the companies with higher union membership have relatively lower investment efficiency than those without. As a result of analyzing the results of analysis on the upper labor union companies, it is found that the companies affiliated to the striking union have relatively low investment efficiency compared to those who do not have the labor union, In this paper, we propose that the cost of capital increases as the accounting information asymmetry increases. This study examines the impact of trade unions on managerial decision making in terms of investment efficiency, and furthermore, it has contributed in that it examines the impact of union negotiation power on managerial decision making, It can provide implications for establishing labor policy direction and seeking ways to improve transparency and reliability of companies based on labor relations.
