국문 초록

이 연구는 기억 행위의 ‘현재성’과 ‘활성성’을 바탕으로 소설 텍스트와 공론장이라는 기억의 공간이 갖는 특징을 고찰해 소설 독서교육의 내용을 제시했다. 독자는 소설이라는 기억의 공간에서 다양한 기억의 주체들과 소통한다. 여기서 주체는 소설 텍스트 내 등장인물뿐만 아니라 사건을 기억하는 텍스트 밖 존재들도 해당된다. 소설 텍스트는 지난 사건을 형상화하지만, 그 사건과 마주하는 주체들은 ‘지금 여기’에 있는 존재들이다. 그 주체들은 자신의 관점과 다른 주체들과 서로의 기억에 대해 논쟁하고, 그 과정에서 기억을 의미화 한다. ‘텍스트’라는 기억의 공간은 ‘기억 담론의 논쟁 장(공론장)’이라는 기억의 공간으로 확장된다. 이런 점에서 기억의 공간에서 이루어지는 소통 행위는 ‘현재성’을 지닌다. 또한 기억의 공간은 타자의 기억과 논쟁할 기회와 의미 구성의 기회를 동시에 제공하기 때문에 ‘활성성’도 띤다. 소설 텍스트에는 사건에 대한 여러 인물들의 기억이 담겨 있으며, 각 기억들은 쓸모없는 기억이 되지 않기 위해 서로 투쟁한다. 이 투쟁은 자신의 기억에 정당성을 부여하는 활동이며 독자를 염두에 둔 행위이다. 이런 점에서 기억은 현재적이며 활성적이다. 독자는 단순히 기억을 수동적으로 수용하는 차원을 넘어 사건을 둘러싼 기억 주체들의 담론에 귀 기울이고, 기억투쟁의 또다른 주체가 된다. 이 연구는 사회적 연행으로서 토론 활동을 제시하여 독자가 기억의 공간에서 진정한 주체가 되는 방법을 탐구해 독서교육의 내용으로 구체화했다.

영문 초록

Based on the presentity and activeness of memory behavior, this study presented the contents of novel reading education by examining the characteristics of the memory space of novel text and public sphere. The reader communicates with the subjects of various memories in the memory space of the novel, where the subject is not only the characters in the novel text but also the non-text beings who remember the event. The novel text symbolizes the past event, but the subjects facing the event are the beings here now. They argue about their own perspectives and their memories with other subjects, and in the process they make memories meaningful. The space of memory called text extends to the space of memory called the “controversy field of memory discourse. In this respect, the communication act in the space of memory has ‘presentity’. Also, the space of memory is active because it provides the opportunity to controversy with the memory of the other and the opportunity to configure meaning at the same time. The novel text contains memories of various characters about the event, and each memory struggles against each other to avoid being a useless memory. This struggle is an activity that justifies your memory and is an act that you have in mind. Memory is present and active in this respect. The reader goes beyond simply accepting memory passively, listening to the discourse of the memory subjects surrounding the event, and becoming another subject of the memory struggle.
