국문 초록

‘동좌문도(同坐問道) 북클럽’은 2017년 2학기에 시작한 동아대 비교과 독서프로그램이다. 2018년 2학기에 운영한 ‘동좌문도 북클럽’ 2기는 한권의 책으로 한 학기에 교수와 학생이 독서 공동체를 이루어 꼼꼼하게 읽기(close reading)를 실천하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 하여 참여 학생들이 고등 독해 능력을 기르고, 응답하는 읽기(answering reading)로 나아갈 토대를 마련하였다. 응답하는 읽기를 위해 인식론적, 정서적, 실천적 반응과 응답을 촉발하고자 교수와 학생이 정기적으로 독서토론 활동을 하였으며, 연극 관람, 낭독극 체험, 독서에세이 쓰기 등의 활동을 하였다. ‘동좌문도 북클럽’ 2기는 최근 독서교육의 이론적 논의를 교육 현장에 실제 적용해 보았고, 학생들이 공독을 실천하고, 고전 읽기로 도전적 독서를 경험했으며, 독서 공동체의 합의적 이해를 바탕으로 독자 자신의 삶에 다가가고, 이 모든 과정에 지도교수의 조력적 역할을 분명히 했다는 점에서 의의가 있었다. 그러나 운영 시기와 홍보, 도서 선정 과정의 문제점과 학생 중심 북클럽 운영의 필요성 등에서 개선점이 발견되었다. 그럼에도 ‘동좌문도 북클럽’ 2기에 참여하여 꼼꼼한 독서와 응답하는 독서를 경험한 학생들에게는 유능하고 능동적인 독자로 나아갈 소중한 계기가 되었을 것이다.

영문 초록

The ‘Dongjwamundo(同坐問道) Book Club’ is an extracurricular reading program of Dong-A University that started in the second semester of 2017. ‘Dongjwamundo Book Club 2’, which was operated in the second semester of 2018, had a close reading with a professor and a student reading community during one semester. Through this, participating students were able to read high reading ability and to do answering reading. Professors and students regularly gathered for reading discussion to stimulate epistemological, emotional, and practical answering for answering reading . And theater viewing, reader s theater experience, and reading essay writing. Dongjwamundo Book Club 2 has the following significance. Recently, the theoretical discussion of reading education was actually applied to the education field, and the students made a common reading. He experienced challenging reading with classical reading, and came to his own life based on Understanding by consensus of the reading community. And I made clear the role of the advisor in all of this process. However, improvements were found in terms of operation time, publicity, problem of book selection process and necessity of student centered book club operation. Nevertheless, We believe that students who have participated in Dongjwamundo Book Club 2 and have experienced close and answering reading have become fluent and active readers.
