노인교육프로그램이 건강한 노화에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

이 연구는 노인교육프로그램이 노인의 일상적 삶에 미치는 영향을 검토하며, 이에 의해 교육프로그램이 노년기 건강한 삶과 밀접한 관련이 있음을 밝히는 데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 연구는 ○○대학교 부설 ‘노인장수대학원’에서 주관한 노인교육프로그램 참여노인들을 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 진행하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인교육프로그램 참여동기는 ‘무료함 해소를 위해’, ‘친교를 목적으로’, ‘프로그램의 유익성 때문에’, 그리고 ‘건강유지’ 등으로 나타났다. 둘째, 노인교육프로그램 만족도에 대한 질문에는 ‘운영방식’, ‘강의 및 노래교실’, ‘야외답사 및 등산회’ 등의 순으로 응답하였다. 셋째, 노인교육프로그램과 건강한 노화관계는 신체적, 심리적, 사회적, 도구적 등의 측면에서 분석하였다. 그 결과 참가자들은 프로그램 참여가 건강한 노화에 도움이 된다고 하였으나 교육생간의 적극적 의미의 도구적 지원이 잘 이뤄지지 않았다. 마지막으로, 노인교육프로그램에 대한 요구는 성별에 따른 차이를 보였으며, 즉 프로그램에 대한 선호도가 남녀 노인 간에 다르게 나타났다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study is to examine the influences that the elderly education program gives to the daily life of the elderly, and to explore the positive relationship between such education program and elderly people s quality of life. For this purpose, the in-depth interview was conducted for the participants of education program conducted in Graduate school for elderly longevity attached to X University. attached Graduate School for elderly longevity. The findings of this study are as follows: First, the motivations participating in the education program are to relieve the boredom, to make friends, to get benefits from the programs, and to maintain the health. Secondly, the satisfaction with the program was categorized into three: the way of management, lectures and singing classes, and field trip and climbing a mountain . Thirdly, the association between the elderly education program and the well-being of the elderly was analyzed into four aspects: physical, psychological, social, and material aspects. As a result, the participants generally thought that participating in the program is helpful for their well-being life but the material support was not well distributed between participants. Finally, the needs of elderly education program are different according to the gender. The preference for the program was exposed to be different between man and woman elderly.
