국문 초록

정구가 『심경』을 새로 편찬한 이유 중 하나는 유교적 입장에서의 실천을 확립하고자하는 의도가 강하게 작용했다고 할 수 있다. 정구는 『경이직내장』 에서 경의 여러 범주와 상관적 개념뿐만 아니라, 문장을 42개 항으로 분류해서 각항마다 경의 구체적 과정을 세분화시키고 있다. 이처럼 정구는 경의 중요성을 다양한 각도에서 입증하고자 노력했다. 이것은 마음의 내면과 외면을 밝힘에 있어서 ‘敬’중심의 실천정신이 철저했음을 알 수 있다. 사람이 수양하고 실천한다는 것은 멀리 있는 것이 아니다. 그것은 어릴 적부터 나름대로의 내공이 축적되어야 만이 실천습관이 형성되어 지기 때문이다. 그는 日常에서 자신을 제대로 알려면, 타인에게 비친 나를 아는 것이 먼저라고 생각하고 있었기 때문이다. 그것은 바로 자신이 스스로 行하는 것이니, 말하지 않고도 본받아 깨닫게 하는 것이었다. 조선은 기본적으로 유교 국가였으며, 유교 중에서도 성리학을 국학으로 하는 나라였다. 따라서 조선시대 성리학은 인간의 마음에 대한 연구가 성리학의 기본주제였으며, 그 특징은 물질적 가치보다 정신적 가치가 우선순위인 사회였다. 그것은 바로 수양론에 근거한 도덕적인 신념을 사회적으로 실현시키는 것이었다.

영문 초록

One of the reasons why Jeonggu newly compiled Xinjing was that intention to establish practice in the Confucian stance acted strongly. Jeonggu did the various categories and correlative concepts in Gyeongijiknaejang, besides classifies the sentence into 42 terms and subdivides the specific process of each subject of “jing or reverence(敬)”. In this way, Jeonggu strived to demonstrate the importance of the “jing or reverence(敬)” from different angles. This shows that the jing-centered practice spirit was thorough in revealing the inside and outside of the mind. It is not far away that a person cultivate their mind and practices. This is because practical habit is formed when the man is seasoned from their childhood. He thought that to get to know yourself well in daily life, it would be the precedence to know me who was seen by others. It is practicing by oneself that make someone realize without having to say. Joseon was a Confucian country, and Neo-Confucianism was also a country that adopted Confucianism as its national science. Therefore, the characteristic of Joseon Dynasty was that it was a society where spiritual values were given priority over material values. Neo-Confucianism in the Joseon Dynasty can be said to be a basic theme of the study of human mind. It was the socially realization of moral beliefs based on the theory of self-cultivation.
