증여에 의한 부정신학의 부정성(Negativity) 이해

국문 초록

이 논문의 목적은 부정신학의 부정성에 대한 개념을 증여(gift)의 담론으로 풀어내려는 것이다. 전통적으로 부정신학에 의하면 하나님의 초월성은 언어를 넘어선다. 이에 대해 데리다는 부정신학의 부정성도 결국은 초본질의 무엇을 지칭하거나 적어도 이를 암시하는 덫에 걸려 있다고 보고 진정으로 이 덫으로부터 하나님 담론을 구하는 길은 오직 미래에 올 가능성을 열어놓는 불가능성으로의 차연의 코라를 통하여 현존의 형이상학을 거부하는 것이다. 그러나 이러한 데리다의 기획은 윤리적 실천을 비롯한 계시와 증여의 증여자에 대한 관계에 대한 설명으로 미흡하다. 이에 마리옹은 데리다의 증여의 불가능성이 부정신학에 대한 전통적인 이해에서 비롯되었다고 보고 비-현존을 중심으로 하는 타자의 현상학을 제시한다. 마리옹은 하나님 담론의 가능성은 존재가 아닌 우리에게 내어지는 것(givenness)으로서 인간의 주관성과 존재론의 담론을 포화시키는 현상학적인 제일원리인 것이다. 이러한 마리옹의 주장은 데리다의 코라의 부정성을 존재론적인 형이상학의 장벽을 타파하는 전 단계로 봄으로써 부정신학에 대한 가능성과 아울러 포스트모더니티 하나님 담론의 지평을 열어간다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the negativity concept in relation to negative theology. According to negative theology, God’s transcendence eludes the grasps of language. Cautiously distinguishing deconstruction from negative theology which is suspected to be committed to ‘hyper-essentiality’, Derrida investigates the concept of ‘God’in relation to the concept of negativity. There is no other way except the way of Khora of diff?rance which prevents us from thinking metaphysically signaling the possibility of the coming in future. Derrida tries to explain religion by the impossibility of the gift criticizing traditional Christianity. He advocates prophetic religion rather than mystical religion. However, Derrida has a problem in explaining revelation and calling. For Marion, Derrida’s attack on negative theology tends to rely upon traditional understanding of theology. Marion proposes a radical phenomenology of the saturated phenomenon of givenness of an event which is given without being. For Marion, deconstruction means a preliminary play of deconstructing the metaphysical presuppositions and ontological barriers which are considered as a stopper of the overflow of givenness sending a positive signal to negative theology.
