金丹美의 희곡 ≪黃昏の村≫의 줄거리 구조와 그 의미

국문 초록

본고는 ‘金丹美’라는 극작가명으로 연극잡지 󰡔テアトロ󰡕(1938년 6월) 에 발표된 일어체 희곡 ≪黃昏の村≫을 대상으로 하여 극작가의 전기적 정보와 발표 잡지의 매체 정보, 텍스트의 구조와 그 의미구조, 본 연구의 한계와 앞으로의 문제점과 연구 방향을 살펴보고자 한다. 극작가의 전기적 정보를 살펴 본 바, 金丹美는 프롤레타리아연극운동의 주도세력인 극단 新築地에서 연출부 조수와 무대 감독 조수로 활동한다. 신인으로서 희곡 작품을 발표한 매체 󰡔テアトロ󰡕는 동시대 일본 연극을 주도하고 있는 극작가 겸 연출가 秋田雨雀가 1934년에 창간한 프롤레타리아 연극운동 매체이다. 텍스트에서 독자(관객)에게 먼저 제시되는 것은 등장인물표, 시간과 공간표지, 무대지시문의 부 텍스트이다. 부텍스트를 통하여 텍스트는 남조선 농촌에 살고 있는 빈농 가족이 고향을 떠난다는 것, 농촌 빈농의 이농에 관련된 사건을 줄거리 구조로 하고 있다는 정보를 제공해 준다. 이어서 대사의 주 텍스트를 통하여 줄거리 구조가 김씨 가족을 중심으로 한 만주 이민 사건과 선생님을 중심으로 한 글방의 농민교육 사건으로 짜여 있다는 정보가 제공된다. 곧 텍스트는 김씨 가족이 마을 사람들 에게 인사를 하는 것에서부터 만주행 기차를 타기 위해서 마을을 떠나는 순간까지를 중심적인 플롯으로, 글방의 폐쇄 위기에서 지속까지의 사건을 부차적인 플롯으로 설정하고 있다. 주 플롯은 대홍수로 인한 수해, 여행자증명제도에 의한 일본으로의 이주 제한, 지주의 수탈 관행과 고율 소작료로 인한 생존의 위험 모티브로 진행된다. 이러한 모티브에서 본다면 주플롯은 일제가 강요한 동시대 빈농계급의 사회적 몰락과 만주로의 이향을 보여주고 있다. 부 플롯은 글방 사건, 농민 자녀의 무료 교육을 모티브로 하고 있다. 이러한 부 플롯에서 본다면 친일 지배계급으로서 조선어 교육의 말살과 빈농계급의 공동체의식, 민족의식과 생존 지식의 함양을 대립으로 설정 하여 민족주의 의식을 형상화 하고 있다. 따라서 텍스트는 동시대 빈농계급의 사회적 몰락과 만주로의 이향, 빈농계급의 공동체의식, 민족의식과 생존 지식의 함양을 전경화 하고 있다. 텍스트에서 전경화 하고 있는 구조와 의미를 보다 구체화하고 맥락 속에서 밝혀내기 위해서는 극작가의 전기적 정보가 더욱더 밝혀져야 하며, 이를 바탕으로 하여 작품의 사회문화적 맥락도 밝혀져야 한다.

영문 초록

This paper summarizes the structure and meaning structure of Kim Dan Mi s dramatic text “Hwang Hon ui Maeul”. The results are summarized as follows. 1) The text will be published in the theater magazine 󰡔テアトロ󰡕 (June 1938) under the title of “Hwang Hon ui Maeul” and the playwright named Kim Dan Mi. 2) Playwright Kim Dan Mi is an assistant in the theater company Shinji Kikaiden(劇團 新築地, 1929～1940), a leading force in the proletarian theater movement, which was created by the division of Tsukiji Shōgekijō Theater (築地小劇場, 1924～1930), which completed the Japanese modern drama based on Western modern realism. 󰡔テアトロ󰡕, a theatrical magazine containing her first plays, is a medium characterized by the strengthening of the politics of the drama, which was founded in 1934 by Ujaku Akita (秋田雨雀), who led the Japanese proletarian theater movement. 3) In the Character Table, Time-Space Remarks, and Stage direction, The text provides information on the fact that the poor farm family living in a rural area in South Korea leaves their hometowns and that the story about the farming of rural poor farmers is plotted. 4) In the plot structure, The text is composed of the Manchu immigration case centering on the Kim family and the farmers education event centered on the Teacher. In the text, the main plot is from the greeting of the Kim family to the villagers, to the moment of leaving the village to catch the train to Manchuria, and the subplot is the event from the closure crisis to the continuation. 5) The main plot proceeds with natural disasters caused by the Flood, limitations on migration to Japan by the tourist certification system, and risk of survival due to landowner practices and high rate of rent. In this motif, the main plot shows the social collapse of the contemporary vanguard class imposed by the Japanese imperialism and its shift to Manchuria.    6) The subplot is motivated by the bulb incident and the free education of the peasant children. In this subplot, the consciousness of nationalism is shaped by the eradication of Korean language education as a pro-Japanese ruling class, the consciousness of the community of the peasant class, the raising of national consciousness and the knowledge of survival.
