소프트웨어 교육에 대한 초등 교사의 인식

국문 초록

소프트웨어 교육을 위한 조건으로 인적 자원 기반 조성은 매우 중요하다. 이 연구는 소프트웨어 교육 전반에 대해 초등 교사의 인식을 조사하여 소프트웨어 교육 실천을 위해 교육과정, 인적 자원, 물적 인프라 영역 등에서 기초 자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 초등학교 교사 305명으로부터 얻은 소프트웨어 교육의 배경, 필요성, 교육과정, 인적 자원, 물적 인프라의 5개 영역에 대한 의견을 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과 및 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등 교사들은 소프트웨어 교육 중요성에 대해서 전반적으로 높게 인식하고 있었다. 2015개정 초등 소프트웨어 교육과정에 대해 이해도가 높았고, 프로그래밍 영역을 중요하게 생각하고 있지만 그에 비해 이해도는 부족하였다. 둘째, 소프트웨어 교육의 필요성과 유용성에 비하여 소프트웨어 교육을 실천하려는 의지는 상대적으로 낮았다. 따라서 초등 교사들의 소프트웨어 교육 실천 의지와 태도를 긍정적으로 변화시키기 위한 정책적 노력이 필요하다. 셋째, 초등 소프트웨어 교육 연수에서 컴퓨팅 사고력, 소프트웨어 교수·학습 방법의 필요성에 대한 인식이 높았다. 또, 물적 인프라에 대해서 낮은 만족도를 보였고, 특히 무선 인터넷 이용 환경에 대한 불만이 높았다. 따라서 전문적인 소프트웨어 교육 연수가 필요하고, 무선 인터넷 인프라 등 물적 인프라의 개선이 시급하다. 넷째, 소프트웨어 교육 관련 경험이 소프트웨어 교육 인식에 상당히 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 따라서 교사 연수, 수업 실천, 교사 연구회나 동아리 등을 활성화할 수 있는 정책이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The development of human resources infrastructure is very important as a condition for software education. This research aims to investigate elementary school teachers perceptions of software education in general and to provide basic materials. For this reason, we analyzed opinions on the five areas of software education background, necessity, curriculum, human resources, physical infrastructure, obtained from 305 elementary school teachers. The results and conclusions of this study are as follows. First of all, elementary school teachers recognized high in software education overall. The recognition of 2015 revised primary software education curriculum was high, and they were thinking the programming domain is important, but understanding of it was lacking compared to it. Second, the intention of practicing software education was relatively lower compared to the necessity and usefulness of software training. Therefore, it is necessary to make policy efforts to positively change the intention and attitude of elementary school teachers to practice software education Thirdly, there was a high necessity of primary software education training, the need for computational thinking, software teaching and learning methods was high. Moreover, it showed low recognition to physical infrastructure, especially dissatisfaction with wireless internet use environment was high. Therefore, specialized software education training is necessary, and it is urgent to improve physical infrastructure such as wireless internet infrastructure. Fourth, the experience related to software education had a considerable influence on the recognition of software education. Therefore, policies that can activate a teacher training, classroom practice, teacher workshops and teacher circles etc. are necessary.
