미래의 발명 CEO 탐색 프로그램 적용 사례를 통한 발명교사 역량 탐색

국문 초록

이 연구는 IoT(Internet of Things)와 3D 모델링 등 기존 교과과정에서 잘 다루어지지 않는 주제를 다루는 ‘미래의 발명 CEO 탐색 프로그램’을 학교 현장에 적용할 때 발명교사의 역량 발휘가 어떠한지를 조사하고자 했다. 더불어 향후 4차 산업혁명과 함께 가속화 될 교육혁신에 대비하여 발명교사들의 역량이 어떻게 강화되어야 하는지 등에 대한 시사점을 얻고자 했다. 이 연구 목적을 바탕으로 설문지, 수업관찰, 인터뷰의 방법을 활용하여 발명교사의 역량모델에서 제시하는 역량군의 세부 역량요소별로 세 명의 발명교사의 역량 발휘 정도가 어떠한지를 심층 분석하였다. 특히 교사의 주관적 인식, 수업을 받는 학생들의 인식, 제3의 연구자의 수업관찰 등 다면적 인식 비교를 수행하여 발명교사의 역량요소를 객관적으로 추출하고자 했다. 결과적으로 다음의 세 가지 연구결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 연구에 참여한 세 명의 교사들은 발명교육 전문적 수행 영역에서 상대적으로 역량이 미흡하여 SW활용 등 발명교육 수행과 관련한 교사 연수가 강화되어야 한다. 둘째, 발명교사의 역량발휘와 관련하여 교사와 학생들의 인식에 비해 객관적인 수업관찰 결과가 전반적으로 다소 낮게 나타났다. 셋째로 발명교사에게 제공되는 연수가 여러 면에서 지극히 제한적이어서 교사들의 수행 역량 등 부족한 역량들을 실질적으로 강화시킬 수 있는 연수가 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study intended to analyze in depth what the invention teachers competencies were in classes that implemented the program of Search for Future Invention CEO(III), which dealt with topics like IoT (Internet of Things) or 3D Printing not dealt with by the standard curriculum. Also this study tried to obtain implications about how teachers competencies should be strengthened in preparation for the rapidly approaching innovation of the education field with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Based on the purpose of this study, this analyzed in depth what degree the exertion of competencies of three invention teachers was according to detaliled competency factors in the group of competency the invention teacher s competency model’s proposing, making use of methods like field observation, questionnaires, and interviews. In particular, this study tried to investigate invention teachers’ seen or unseen competency factors based on multifaceted perception comparisons, such as the teacher s subjective perceptions, the perceptions of students receiving the education, and the perceptions based on observations by third-party researchers. Consequently, this study could obtain the following three findings and implications. First, because three teachers participating in this study showed insufficient competency comparatively in professional performance competency, teacher training in relation to professional performance competency like the use of software should be strengthened. Second, the outcome of objective class observation appeared to be rather low compared with those of the perception of teachers and students. Third, as the teacher training is limited in terms of several perspectives, it is necessary that teacher training strengthen insufficient competencies in a significant manner.
