고고학자료로 본 沃沮와 挹婁

국문 초록

이 글의 목적은 고고학자료를 통해서 沃沮와 挹婁의 문화성격을 살펴보는데 있다. 고고학자료를 이용하여 지역집단의 실체와 문화성격을 검토하는 것은 아무리 정치한 분석과정을 거쳤다 하더라도 왜곡될 가능성이 높기 때문에 신중을 기해야 한다. 이에 문헌기록에 보이는 역사적 맥락과 고고학자료의 시공간적 범위를 세밀히 비교검토하면서 옥저와 읍루를 살펴보았다. 옥저는 남옥저와 북옥저로 나누어 살펴보았다. 함흥 일대의 남옥저는 세형동검문화와 낙랑계문화단계로 구분하였다. 이 지역은 위만의 복속과 한군현 설치 이후 서북한지역의 물질문화로 바뀌지만 재지계토기는 이전 시기의 토기 전통이 유지되었다. 북옥저는 두만강 중하류지역, 중국 수분하유역, 연해주 남부에서 확인되고 있는 단결-크로우노브카 문화로 비정하였다. 특히 북옥저는 기원전 1세기에서 기원 무렵에 단결-크로우노브카문화가 주변지역으로 확대되면서 문헌기록에 등장한 것으로 이해하였다. 읍루에 대해서는 夫餘에 臣屬한 정세, 문화사 관련 기록, 고고학자료의 시·공간성 등을체계적으로 검토하여, 漢代 挹婁는 흑룡강 중하류지역의 폴체 문화 2기와 三江平原 七星河 流域의 滾土嶺文化로 비정하였고, 魏晋代 읍루는 흑룡강 중하류지역의 폴체 문화 3기와 연해주 폴체 문화로 보았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this writing is to look into the cultural character of Okjeo(沃沮) and Eupru(挹婁) through archeological data. It’s necessary to pay close attention to the review of the true nature and cultural character of the ancient political body using archeological data because of the high possibility of being distorted whatever elaborate, detailed analysis process it may go through. Hereupon, this writing looked into Okjeo and Eupru while closely comparing and weighing the historical context shown in literature records, and the spatio-temporal scope of archeological data. First, this writing looked into Okjeo by dividing it into Southern okjeo(南沃沮) and Northern okjeo(北沃沮). Also, this writing divided the culture of Southern okjeo of the area of Hamheung into the periods of the slender bronze dagger culture and Nakrang-line culture. Although these cultures changed to the material culture of the northwestern Han area after Wiman’s subjugation to QiánHàn, and establishment of Four Commanderies of Han, this writing confirmed that the native-lineage earthenware maintained the earthenware tradition of the preceding periods. In addition, this writing characterized Bukokjeo culture as Tuanjie-Kroynovka Culture through comparison, which is identified at the mid-downstream area of Túménjiāng(豆滿江), Suífēnhé liúyù(綏芬河流域) and the southern area of Primorie(沿海州), as Tuanjie-Kroynovka Culture. Particularly, this writing understood that Northern okjeo appeared in literature records with Tuanjie-Kroynovka culture expanding towards its surroundings from the 1st century B.C. to the beginning of Christian time. As respects Eupru this writing characterized Eupru during the Han period as Guntuling Culture of SānJiāngPíngyuán(三江平原), and the secondary stage of Poltse Culture of the mid-downstream area of by examining the records related to the situation where vassalage became subordinate to Buyeo(夫餘), and cultural history, etc. while looking upon Eupru during the Wei and Jin Dynasties as the tertiary stage of Poltse Culture at the mid-downstream area of Hēilóngjiāng, and Primorie Poltse Culture. The earthenware culture of Eupru is characterized by diverse-pattern earthenware, and a small number of earthenware with the handle.
